We apply the Shishikura surgery construction to transcendental maps in order to obtain examples of meromorphic functions with Herman rings, in a variety of possible arrangements. We give a sharp bound on the maximum possible number of such rings that a meromorphic function may have, in terms of the number of poles. Finally we discuss the possibility of having “unbounded” Herman rings (i.e., with an essential singularity in the boundary), and give some examples of maps with this property.  相似文献

The well-known Jacobi elliptic functions sn(z), cn(z), dn(z) are defined in higher dimensional spaces by the following method. Consider the Clifford algebra of the antieuclidean vector space of dimension 2m + 1. Let x be the identity mapping on the space of scalars + vectors. The holomorphic Cliffordian functions may be viewed roughly as generated by the powers of x, namely xn , their derivatives, their sums, their limits (cf: zn for classical holomorphic functions). This paper is a continuation of our paper Levin et al. [1]. We consider Modified Calogero–Moser (CM) systems corresponding to the Higgs bundles with an arbitrary characteristic class over elliptic curves. These systems are generalization of the classical Calogero–Moser systems with spin related to simple Lie groups and contain CM subsystems related to some (unbroken) subalgebras. For all algebras we construct a special basis, corresponding to non-trivial characteristic classes, the explicit forms of Lax operators and quadratic Hamiltonians. As by product, we describe the moduli space of stable holomorphic bundles over elliptic curves with arbitrary characteristic classes.  相似文献

Let ψ be a Bernstein function. A. Carasso and T. Kato obtained necessary and sufficient conditions for ψ to have the property that ψ(A) generates a quasibounded holomorphic semigroup for every generator A of a bounded C 0-semigroup in a Banach space, in terms of some convolution semigroup of measures associated with ψ. We give an alternative to Carasso-Kato’s criterion, and derive several sufficient conditions for ψ to have the above-mentioned property. For a quasi-Fuchsian group Γ with ordinary set Ω, and Δ n the Laplacian on n-differentials on Γ\Ω, we define a notion of a Bers dual basis for ker Δ n . We prove that det , is, up to an anomaly computed by Takhtajan and the second author in (Commun. Math Phys 239(1-2):183–240, 2003), the modulus squared of a holomorphic function F(n), where F(n) is a quasi-Fuchsian analogue of the Selberg zeta function Z(n). This generalizes the D’Hoker–Phong formula det , and is a quasi-Fuchsian counterpart of the result for Schottky groups proved by Takhtajan and the first author in Analysis 16, 1291–1323, 2006.   相似文献

We prove that the locus of Hilbert schemes of n points on a projective K 3 surface is dense in the moduli space of irreducible holomorphic symplectic manifolds of that deformation type. The analogous result for generalized Kummer manifolds is proven as well. Along the way we prove an integral constraint on the monodromy group of generalized Kummer manifolds.  相似文献
