Strong convergence of a general viscosity explicit rule for the sum of two monotone operators in Hilbert spaces

In this paper, we study a general viscosity explicit rule for approximating the solutions of the variational inclusion problem for the sum of two monotone operators. We then prove its strong convergence under some new conditions on the parameters in the framework of Hilbert spaces. As applications, we apply our main result to the split feasibility problem and the LASSO problem. We also give some numerical examples to support our main result. The results presented in this paper extend and improve the corresponding results in the literature.     

Symmetry classes of tensors and semi-direct product of finite abelian groups

In the study of symmetry classes of tensors, finding examples of symmetry classes of tensors that possess an o*-basis is of considerable interest. There are only few classes of groups that have been provided a necessary and sufficient condition for having such a basis. There is no general criterion for any finite group yet. In this note, we provide a necessary and sufficient condition for the existence of o*-basis of symmetry classes of tensors associated with semi-direct product of some finite abelian groups and, consequently, their wreath product.     

Optimal rates for spectral algorithms with least-squares regression over Hilbert spaces

In this paper, we study regression problems over a separable Hilbert space with the square loss, covering non-parametric regression over a reproducing kernel Hilbert space. We investigate a class of spectral/regularized algorithms, including ridge regression, principal component regression, and gradient methods. We prove optimal, high-probability convergence results in terms of variants of norms for the studied algorithms, considering a capacity assumption on the hypothesis space and a general source condition on the target function. Consequently, we obtain almost sure convergence results with optimal rates. Our results improve and generalize previous results, filling a theoretical gap for the non-attainable cases.     

Weighted weak group inverse for Hilbert space operators

We present the weighted weak group inverse, which is a new generalized inverse of operators between two Hilbert spaces, and we extend the notation of the weighted weak group inverse for rectangular matrices. Some characterizations and representations of the weighted weak group inverse are investigated. We also apply these results to define and study the weak group inverse for a Hilbert space operator. Using the weak group inverse, we define and characterize various binary relations.
