On semi-convergence of modified HSS method for a class of complex singular linear systems

In this paper, we discuss the semi-convergence of the modified Hermitian and skew-Hermitian splitting (MHSS) iteration method for solving a broad class of complex singular linear systems. Some semi-convergence theories of the MHSS iteration method are established and are weaker than those appeared in previously published works.     

一类弱非线性方程组的Picard-MHSS迭代方法

修正的Hermite/反Hermite分裂(MHSS)迭代方法是一类求解大型稀疏复对称线性代数方程组的无条件收敛的迭代算法.基于非线性代数方程组的特殊结构和性质,我们选取Picard迭代为外迭代方法,MHSS迭代作为内迭代方法,构造了求解大型稀疏弱非线性代数方程组的Picard-MHSS和非线性MHSS-like方法.这两类方法的优点是不需要在每次迭代时均精确计算和存储Jacobi矩阵,仅需要在迭代过程中求解两个常系数实对称正定子线性方程组.除此之外,在一定条件下,给出了两类方法的局部收敛性定理.数值结果证明了这两类方法是可行、有效和稳健的.     

THE GENERALIZED LOCAL HERMITIAN AND SKEW-HERMITIAN SPLITTING ITERATION METHODS FOR THE NON-HERMITIAN GENERALIZED SADDLE POINT PROBLEMS

For large and sparse saddle point problems, Zhu studied a class of generalized local Hermitian and skew-Hermitian splitting iteration methods for non-Hermitian saddle point problem [M.-Z. Zhu, Appl. Math. Comput. 218 （2012） 8816-8824 ]. In this paper, we further investigate the generalized local Hermitian and skew-Hermitian splitting （GLHSS） iteration methods for solving non-Hermitian generalized saddle point problems. With different choices of the parameter matrices, we derive conditions for guaranteeing the con- vergence of these iterative methods. Numerical experiments are presented to illustrate the effectiveness of our GLHSS iteration methods as well as the preconditioners.     

The bounds of the eigenvalues for rank‐one modification of Hermitian matrix

In this paper, we present some new interlacing properties about the bounds of the eigenvalues for rank‐one modification of Hermitian matrix, whose eigenvalues are different and spectral decomposition also needs to be known. Numerical examples demonstrate the efficiency of the proposed method and support our theoretical results.Copyright © 2013 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.     

Weight distribution of Preparata codes over Z 4 and the construction of 3-designs

In this paper,we calculate the number of the codewords(with Hamming weight 7)of each type in the Preparata codes over Z4,then give the parameter sets of 3-designs constructed from the supports of the codewords of each type.Moreover,we prove that the first two families of 3-designs are simple and the third family of the 3-designs has repeated blocks.
