Weighted Discrepancy and High-Dimensional Numerical Integration

The concept of weighted discrepancy of sequences was introduced by Sloan and Woniakowski when they proved a general form of a Koksma–Hlawka inequality for the numerical integration of functions. This version takes imbalances in the importance of the projections of the integrand into account.In this paper we give estimates for the weighted discrepancy of several important point sets. Further we carry out various (high-dimensional) numerical integration experiments and we compare the results with the error bounds provided by the generalized Koksma–Hlawka inequality and by the estimates for the weighted discrepancy. Finally we discuss various consequences.     

Choquet-type Integral Representation of Invariant Functions for some Product Semigroups

We show that functions which are invariant for suitable product semigroups (one of which is a quasi-Poisson semigroup on a general state space) decompose into a singular eigen-function and a mixture of products of minimal eigen-functions.     

The Paley--Wiener Theorem for the Generalized Radon Transform on the Plane

We consider the problem of reconstructing a function on the disk from its integrals over curves close to straight lines, i.e., the inversion problem for the generalized Radon transform. Necessary and sufficient conditions on the range of the generalized Radon transform are obtained for functions supported in a smaller disk under the additional condition that the curves that do not meet coincide with the corresponding straight lines.     

Galois Stability, Integrality and Realization Fields for Representations of Finite Abelian Groups

For a given field F of characteristic 0 we consider a normal extension E/F of finite degree d and finite Abelian subgroups GGL _n (E) of a given exponent t. We assume that G is stable under the natural action of the Galois group of E/F and consider the fields E=F(G) that are obtained via adjoining all matrix coefficients of all matrices gG to F. It is proved that under some reasonable restrictions for n, any E can be realized as F(G), while if all coefficients of matrices in G are algebraic integers, there are only finitely many fields E=F(G) for prescribed integers n and t or prescribed n and d.     

On the Bavrin Integro-Differential Operators and Their Applications to Solution of Functional Equations

We construct a multiplicative group structure in the class of integro-differential operators specific for a polydisk which was introduced by I. I. Bavrin. We indicate two applications of these operators to solution of functional equations.     

Non-compact generalized variational inequalities for quasi-monotone and hemi-continuous operators with applications

Some results are obtained for non-compact cases in topological vector spaces for the existence problem of solutions for some set-valued variational inequalities with quasi-monotone and lower hemi-continuous operators, and with quasi-semi-monotone and upper hemi-continuous operators. Some applications are given in non-reflexive Banach spaces for these existence problems of solutions and for perturbation problems for these set-valued variational inequalities with quasi-monotone and quasi-semi-monotone operators. The Structure of the (Outer) Automorphism Group of a Bieberbach Group

Referring to Tits alternative, we develop a necessary and sufficient condition to decide whether the normalizer of a finite group of integral matrices is polycyclic-by-finite or is containing a non-Abelian free group. This result is of fundamental importance to conclude whether the (outer) automorphism group of a Bieberbach group is polycyclic-by-finite or has a non-cyclic free subgroup.     

Lp (?m × ?n) boundedness for the Marcinkiewicz integral on product spaces

L^p(R^m × Rⁿ) boundedness is considered for the multiple Marcinkiewicz integral. Some size conditions implying the L^p(R^m × Rⁿ) boundedness of the multiple Marcinkiewicz integral for some fixed 1 > p > ∞ are obtained.     

具有非线性扰动的中立型系统的时滞相关稳定性

本研究了具有非线性扰动的中立型系统鲁棒稳定的时滞相关准则。基于LMI方法，并利用S—过程获得了依赖于时滞的鲁棒稳定性准则，所得结果优于已有结论。最后给出一个实例说明本方法的有效性。
