The current paper proposes a technique for the numerical solution of Burgers equations. The method is based on finite difference formula combined with the Galerkin method, which uses the interpolating scaling functions. We explore a mechanism of pattern formation arising in processes described by a system of a single reaction–diffusion equation coupled with ordinary differential equations. Such systems of equations arise from the modeling of interactions between cellular processes and diffusing growth factors. We focus on the model of early carcinogenesis proposed by Marciniak‐Czochra and Kimmel, which is an example of a wider class of pattern formation models with an autocatalytic non‐diffusing component. We present a numerical study showing emergence of periodic and irregular spike patterns because of diffusion‐driven instability. To control the accuracy of simulations, we develop a numerical code on the basis of the finite‐element method and adaptive mesh grid. Simulations, supplemented by numerical analysis, indicate a novel pattern formation phenomenon on the basis of the emergence of nonstationary structures tending asymptotically to a sum of Dirac deltas. In this paper, we study the approximate controllability of a linear fractional differential equation by using the method of regularization of Tikhonov. New concepts and results about controllability are established. Then, under the condition of the positivity of the controllability operator, we obtain that the linear system can be steered to an arbitrary small neighbourhood of the fractional integral of the state at final time.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with the global existence and pointwise estimates of solutions to the generalized Benjamin-Bona-Mahony equations in all space dimensions. By using the energy method, Fourier analysis and pseudo-differential operators, the global existence and pointwise convergence rates of the solution are obtained. The decay rate is the same as that of the heat equation and one can see that the solution propagates along the characteristic line.  相似文献

To do that, we introduce a generalized compensate compactness result and a suitable class of test function to this problem. We propose and analyze a spectral Jacobi-collocation approximation for fractional order integro-differential equations of Volterra type. The fractional derivative is described in the Caputo sense. We provide a rigorous error analysis for the collection method, which shows that the errors of the approximate solution decay exponentially in L norm and weighted L2-norm. We investigate the global existence and asymptotic behavior of classical solutions for the 3D compressible non-isentropic damped Euler equations on a periodic domain. The global existence and uniqueness of classical solutions are obtained when the initial data is near an equilibrium. The original proof was given by Constantin, Iyer, and Wu [5], who employed the approach of Besov space techniques to study the global existence and regularity of strong solutions to modified critical SQG equations for two dimensional case.
