Brake Orbits of First Order Convex Hamiltonian Systems with Particular Anisotropic Growth

Combining the dual least action principle with Mountain-pass lemma,we obtain the existence of brake orbits for first-order convex Hamiltonian systems with particular anisotropic growth.     

Singular Hamiltonian elliptic systems with critical exponential growth in dimension two

We will focus on the existence of nontrivial solutions to the following Hamiltonian elliptic system where are numbers belonging to the interval [0, 2), V is a continuous potential bounded below on by a positive constant and the functions f and g possess exponential growth range established by Trudinger–Moser inequalities in Lorentz–Sobolev spaces. The proof involves linking theorem and a finite‐dimensional approximation.     

Optimal strategy of vaccination and treatment in an SIRS model with Markovian switching

Medical treatment and vaccination decisions are often sequential and uncertain. Markov decision process is an appropriate means to model and handle such stochastic dynamic decisions. This paper studies the near‐optimality of a stochastic SIRS epidemic model that incorporates vaccination and saturated treatment with regime switching. The stochastic model takes white noises and color noise into account. We first prove some priori estimates of the susceptible, infected, and recovered populations. Moreover, we establish some sufficient and necessary conditions of the near‐optimality by Pontryagin stochastic maximum principle. Our results show that the two kinds of environmental noises have great impacts on the infectious diseases. Finally, we illustrate our conclusions through numerical simulations.     

Local well-posedness for quasi-linear NLS with large Cauchy data on the circle

We prove local in time well-posedness for a large class of quasilinear Hamiltonian, or parity preserving, Schrödinger equations on the circle. After a paralinearization of the equation, we perform several paradifferential changes of coordinates in order to transform the system into a paradifferential one with symbols which, at the positive order, are constant and purely imaginary. This allows to obtain a priori energy estimates on the Sobolev norms of the solutions.     

Further bounds for waiting time distributions and their means in the case ρ<1

In the paper exponential bounds for the instationary and stationary waiting time d.f.'s in GI/GI/1/∞, derived by several authors partly using martingale theory arguments, are improved with the help of monotonicity properties. Further it is shown that Ne?eptjrenko's bound for the rate of convergence of the mean waiting time in single server queues Is also valid for many server queues with ρ < 1.     

New measurements and analysis of the far-infrared spectrum of CH2DOH in the lowest torsional vibrational state (e0)

In this work the far infrared (FIR) absorption spectrum has been measured for the asymmetrically mono deuterated Methanol (CH₂DOH) species in the wavenumber range of 15–1200 cm⁻¹ better accuracy and signal/noise ratio than known before. Assignments have been made for b-type transitions in the lowest lying torsional vibrational state trans-(e₀) for a wide range of rotational angular momentum. The assignments have been rigorously confirmed by the residual loop defect methods. The ^rR–branch wavenumbers are analyzed by the usual state dependent expansion parameters and the Q-Branch origins. These origins have been used to calculate the torsional and torsional-rotation interaction contributions. These findings are in good agreement with predicted from the Hamiltonian model described in recent publications. A large number of assignments have also been made in the millimeter wave spectrum recorded earlier and thereby evaluated the asymmetry splitting parameters for 4 different axial rotational angular momentum quantum numbers. The analysis and interpretation of the spectra are reported. New assignments for about 260 transitions are included the text and a catalog of about 1500 transitions belonging to the e₀ species is prepared (Appendix 1) and is made available through the open server in “Research Gate” and will be freely available to others.     

Probabilistic interpretation of a system of quasilinear parabolic PDEs

Using a forward–backward stochastic differential equations (FBSDE) associated to a transmutation process driven by a finite sequence of Poisson processes, we obtain a probabilistic interpretation for a non-degenerate system of quasilinear parabolic partial differential equations (PDEs). The novetly is that the linear second order differential operator is different on each line of the system.     

A generalized Tu formula and Hamiltonian structures of fractional AKNS hierarchy

In this Letter, a generalized Tu formula is firstly presented to construct Hamiltonian structures of fractional soliton equations. The obtained results can be reduced to the classical Hamiltonian hierarchy of AKNS in ordinary calculus.     

Homoclinic orbits for first order Hamiltonian systems with some twist conditions

In this paper, we study the nonperiodic first-order Hamiltonian system ù = J L(t)u +J H(t, u), where H ∈ C1(R × R2n). With some assumptions on L, the corresponding Hamiltonian operator has only discrete spectrum. By using the index theory for self-adjoint operator equation,we establish the existence of multiple homoclinic orbits for the asymptotically quadratic nonlinearty satisfying some twist conditions between infinity and origin.
