STUDIES ON PREPARATION OF INACTIVATED VACCINES FROM CELL CULTURES OF MINK ENTERITIS VIRUS (MEV) AND THEIR IMMUNITY

In this paper, superhigh reproductive rate strains of MEV with titre more than HA8192* or TCID50 log9.7 10 have been achieved both by cultivation in cell lines with different susceptibility to MEV and by isolating and identifying in field by the author. The systematic tests proved that S18 and L12 strains of MEV are the best strains for vaccine preparation. In this study, the best means for the tissue cultivation of MEV and the most advanced technological process for the production and detection of serum-free cell-cultured MEV fluids with super-high HA titre in batches in large quantities have been established for the first time. Optimum conditions for MEV inactivation were determined, and safe and effective inactivated vaccines with mineral oil or A1(OH)3 gel adjuvant were successfully prepared with serum-free cell-cultured MEV fluids. Characterization of mean transformations

The mean transformations M(A,?B) are linear mappings and they are analogues of the matrix means of A,?B?≥?0. They are defined by operator monotone functions. In this article several properties are described and a part of them characterize the concept.     

Multivariate Gini Indices

Two extensions of the univariate Gini index are considered:R_D, based on expected distance between two independent vectors from the same distribution with finite meanμ ^d; andR_V, related to the expected volume of the simplex formed fromd+1 independent such vectors. A new characterization ofR_Das proportional to a univariate Gini index for a particular linear combination of attributes relates it to the Lorenz zonoid. TheLorenz zonoidwas suggested as a multivariate generalization of the Lorenz curve.R_Vis, up to scaling, the volume of the Lorenz zonoid plus a unit cube of full dimension. Whend=1, bothR_DandR_Vequal twice the area between the usual Lorenz curve and the line of zero disparity. Whend>1, they are different, but inherit properties of the univariate Gini index and are related via the Lorenz zonoid:R_Dis proportional to the average of the areas of some two-dimensioned projections of the lift zonoid, whileR_Vis the average of the volumes of projections of the Lorenz zonoid over all coordinate subspaces.     

Dependence of the Convergence Domain of Spectral Expansions on the Geometry of the Set of Discontinuity of the Function Being Expanded

For piecewise smooth functions, we indicate their domains of convergence and Riecz summarizability of their spectral expansions related to the Laplace operator in ? ⁿ , depending on the geometry of points of discontinuity of the function being expanded.     

Lorenz Curve for Truncated and Censored Data

In this paper, we consider a nonparametric estimator of the Lorenz curve and Gini index when the data are subjected to random left truncation and right censorship. Strong Gaussian approximations for the associated Lorenz process are established under appropriate assumptions. A law of the iterated logarithm for the Lorenz curve is also derived. Lastly, we obtain a central limit theorem for the corresponding Gini index.     

Characterisations of function spaces of generalised smoothness

We investigate function spaces of generalised smoothness of Besov and Triebel–Lizorkin type. Equivalent quasi-norms in terms of maximal functions and local means are given. An atomic decomposition theorem for this type of spaces is proved. Mathematics Subject Classification (2000) 46E35

Uniform and L-convergence of Logarithmic Means of Walsh-Fourier Series

The （NSrlund） logarithmic means of the Fourier series of the integrable function f is： 1/lnn-1∑k=1Sk（f）/n-k, where ln：=n-1∑k=11/k. In this paper we discuss some convergence and divergence properties of this logarithmic means of the Walsh-Fourier series of functions in the uniform, and in the L^1 Lebesgue norm. Among others, as an application of our divergence results we give a negative answer to a question of Móricz concerning the convergence of logarithmic means in norm.     

On multiple Fourier integrals of piecewise smooth functions with discontinuities of the second kind

It is well known that the Riesz means of eigenfunction expansions of piecewise smooth functions of order s>(n−3)/2 converge uniformly on compacts where these functions are smooth. In 2000 L. Brandolini and L. Colzani considered eigenfunction expansions of piecewise smooth functions with discontinuities of the second kind across smooth surfaces. They showed that the Riesz means of these functions of order s>(n−3)/2 may diverge even at certain points where these functions are smooth. Here it is argued that this effect depends on the measure of the singularity area, i.e. we consider functions with singularities across more limited areas and prove that the Riesz means of their eigenfunction expansions of order s>(n−3)/2 converge uniformly on compacts where these functions are continuous.
