用解析的方法详细讨论了平板波导中的切伦科夫型级联二阶非线性效应引起的基波非线性相位移动和基波功率的变化。结果表明,通过选择合适的反转周期,可以得到相当大的基波非线性相位移动(大于π)。由于切伦科夫型非线性器件结构比准相位匹配器件具有更大的容差,并且基波和谐波自然分离,切伦科夫型级联二阶非线性效应引起的基波非线性相位移动在全光开关器件中有着重要的应用。  相似文献

A technique is described for solving generalized geometric programs whose constraints include one or more strict equalities. The algorithm solves a sequence of penalized geometric programs; the penalty functions are derived from the arithmetic-geometric inequality as condensed posynomials. In this paper we study the well-ordered Cantor sets in hyperbolic sets on the line and the plane. Examples of such sets occur in circle maps and in area-preserving twist maps. We set up a renormalization scheme employing in both cases the first return map. We prove convergence of this scheme. The convergence implies that the asymptotic geometry of such a well-ordered set with irrational rotation number and their nearby well-ordered orbits is determined by the Lyapunov exponent of this set.  相似文献

In this paper, we introduce a model to analyze the linearity of multiple-quantum-well (MQW) traveling-wave electroabsorption modulator (TW-EAM). The device length, microwave loss (ML), velocity mismatch (VM) between lightwaves and the microwaves, and internal reflection (IR) due to impedance mismatch have effect on the linearity of a TW-EAM. ML has little effect on the intermodulation distortions (IMDs). VM also has little influence on IMD3 (third-order IMD), but severely affect IMD2 (second-order IMD), which become as high as 30 dB for the input frequency of 100 GHz, the device length of 0.8 mm, and VM of 20%. IR has different nonlinear characteristics according to the wavelength of the input frequency and the device length. As a result, it is known that IMDs improve when the device length equal to a quarter of the wavelength of the input signal and that the device length of 0.4 mm is appropriate for the analog fiber-optic communication with the frequency range of 50 GHz.  相似文献

Summary An integral equation formulation for the dynamic biaxial response of slightly curved elastic-viscoplastic beams is presented in the context of a multiple field analysis, which takes into account the geometrically nonlinear influence of moderately large deflections. Materials are considered in the regime of rate-dependent plasticity and are subjected to accumulated ductile damage. The latter is modeled by the growth of voids in the plastic zones of an initially porous elastic material. Inelastic defects of the material are considered in the linear elastic background beam by a second imposed strain field (eigenstrains). Geometrically nonlinear effects of large deflections under conditions of immovable supports are approximately taken into account. By inspection, they render another “strain field” to be imposed on the linear background beam. Superposition applies in the linear elastic background in an incremental formulation. Linear methods, as those based on Green's functions and Duhamel's integral, are used to account for the given loads as well as for the resultants of the imposed strain fields. The intensity and the distribution of the imposed strain fields are calculated incrementally in a time-stepping procedure. They are determined by the constitutive law and by application of the nonlinear geometric relations. The numerical procedure resulting from the multiple fields in the elastic background is illustrated for two cases: (1) a preloaded viscoplastic beam of rectangular cross section is subjected to oblique flexural vibrations when forced by a sinusoidal load, and (2) an I-beam with a prescribed initial curvature is severely impacted and thus driven into the plastic regime. We suggest a method for improving the accuracy of measurement of the spectral and integral characteristics of photodetectors (in particular, photodiodes with current-to-voltage converters) in the range of powers for which the nonlinearity parameter determined by the double-aperture method is independent of the irradiation power. We show that in this case it is possible to obtain analytical expressions for both the calibration characteristic of the indicated devices and the correction coefficients which minimize the systematic error in the measurements of the coefficients of transmission and reflection of specimens and also to analytically couple the integral and spectral parameters of nonlinearity.  相似文献
