A characterization of finite symplectic polar spaces of odd prime order

A sufficient condition for the representation group for a nonabelian representation (Definition 1.1) of a finite partial linear space to be a finite p-group is given (Theorem 2.9). We characterize finite symplectic polar spaces of rank r at least two and of odd prime order p as the only finite polar spaces of rank at least two and of prime order admitting nonabelian representations. The representation group of such a polar space is an extraspecial p-group of order p1+2r and of exponent p (Theorems 1.5 and 1.6).     

Calculus of sequential normal compactness in variational analysis

In this paper we study some properties of sets, set-valued mappings, and extended-real-valued functions unified under the name of “sequential normal compactness.” These properties automatically hold in finite-dimensional spaces, while they play a major role in infinite-dimensional variational analysis. In particular, they are essential for calculus rules involving generalized differential constructions, for stability and metric regularity results and their broad applications, for necessary optimality conditions in constrained optimization and optimal control, etc. This paper contains principal results ensuring the preservation of sequential normal compactness properties under various operations over sets, set-valued mappings, and functions.     

Multiple positive solutions for discrete nonlocal boundary value problems

In this paper, we investigate a second-order nonlinear difference equation with sign-changing nonlinearity subject to two different sets of nonlocal boundary conditions. The explicit expressions of the associated Green's functions are presented. By using a recently developed fixed point theorem, we establish sufficient conditions for the existence of multiple positive solutions of the boundary value problem.

本文运用不动点定理建立了奇性与一阶导数有关的二阶非线性奇异边值问题的正解存在性．其中非线性项ｆ（ｔ，ｕ，ｚ）在：（ｉ）ｚ＝０但不在ｕ＝０；（ｉｉ）ｚ＝０且ｕ＝０处具有奇性．     

第Ⅱ类三态叠加多模叠加态光场等幂次2m+1次方Y压缩

构造了由多模虚相干态|{iZ_j}>_q、多模虚相干态的相反态|{-iZ_j}>_q和多模真空态|{O_j}>_q这三种不同的量子光场态的线性叠加所组成的第Ⅱ类三态叠加多模叠加态光场|ψ₂⁽³⁾>_q.利用多模压缩态理论,研究了态|ψ₂⁽³⁾>_q的广义非线性等幂次2m+1次方Y压缩特性.结果发现:在压缩次数N=2m+1(m=0,1,2,3,…,…)的条件下,只要各模的初始相位和态间的初始相位差分别满足一定的取值条件,态|ψ₂⁽³⁾>_q就可呈现出周期性变化的、任意奇数次的广义非线性等幂次N次方Y压缩效应.

本文利用变分方法，将带双参数的非线性椭园本征值问题转化为约束极值问题，得出了非线性本征值问题的分歧解的存在性。

利用Mawhin连续性定理研究了具有多偏差变元的Rayleigh方程周期解的存在性,得到了一些新的结果,补充和完善了已有的结果.     

FC-空间上的选择定理与应用

在FC-空间中给出了选择定理,证明了一些非空交定理,推广了近期文献中的一些相关的结果.     

On inverse spectral problem for non-selfadjoint Sturm-Liouville operator on a finite interval

An inverse spectral problem is studied for a non-selfadjoint Sturm-Liouville operator on a finite interval with an arbitrary behavior of the spectrum. The spectral data introduced generalize the classical discrete spectral data corresponding to the specification of the spectral function in the selfadjoint case. The connection with other types of spectral characteristics is investigated and a uniqueness theorem is proved. A constructive procedure for solving the inverse problem is given.     

Approximation of weak sense stationary stochastic processes from local averages

We show that a weak sense stationary stochastic process can be approximated by local averages. Explicit error bounds are given. Our result improves an early one from Splettstosser.
