S‐asymptotically ω‐periodic solutions for semilinear Volterra equations

We study S‐asymptotically ω‐periodic mild solutions of the semilinear Volterra equation u′(t)=(a* Au)(t)+f(t, u(t)), considered in a Banach space X, where A is the generator of an (exponentially) stable resolvent family. In particular, we extend the recent results for semilinear fractional integro‐differential equations considered in (Appl. Math. Lett. 2009; 22:865–870) and for semilinear Cauchy problems of first order given in (J. Math. Anal. Appl. 2008; 343(2): 1119–1130). 研究了涉及分担函数的正规定则,证明了:设F为定义在区域D内的一族亚纯函数,n,k是两个正整数,满足n≥k+3.如果对于F中任意一个函数f,(fn)(k)-z至多有一个不同的零点,则F在D内正规.此结论说明在(fn)(k)具有不动点的情形下,1990年杨乐在Notre Dame大学举行的学术会议上提出的断言仍然成立.     

Torsion in Boundary Coinvariants and K -Theory for Affine Buildings

Let (G, I, N, S) be an affine topological Tits system, and let Γ be a torsion-free cocompact lattice in G. This article studies the coinvariants H ₀(Γ; C(Ω,Z)), where Ω is the Furstenberg boundary of G. It is shown that the class [1] of the identity function in H ₀(Γ; C(Ω, Z)) has finite order, with explicit bounds for the order. A similar statement applies to the K ₀ group of the boundary crossed product C ^*-algebra C(Ω)Γ. If the Tits system has type ? ₂, exact computations are given, both for the crossed product algebra and for the reduced group C ^*-algebra.     

Commutators, C0-semigroups and resolvent estimates

We study the existence and the continuity properties of the boundary values on the real axis of the resolvent of a self-adjoint operator H in the framework of the conjugate operator method initiated by Mourre. We allow the conjugate operator A to be the generator of a C₀-semigroup (finer estimates require A to be maximal symmetric) and we consider situations where the first commutator [H,iA] is not comparable to H. The applications include the spectral theory of zero mass quantum field models.     

An analogue of Montel's theorem for some classes of rational functions

For sequences of rational functions, analytic in some domain, a theorem of Montel's type is proved. As an application, sequences of rational functions of the best L _p -approximation with an unbounded number of finite poles are considered.     

On centroid branches of trees from certain families

We obtain various results involving the centroid branches of randomly chosen trees from simply generated families.     

Soft almost disjoint families

An almost disjoint family is said to be soft if there is an infinite set that meets each in a nonempty but finite set. We consider the associated cardinal invariant defined to be the minimal cardinality of an almost disjoint family that is not soft. We show that this cardinal coincides with J. Brendle's cardinal .

     

Geometry of families of nodal curves on the blown-up projective plane

Let be the projective plane blown up at generic points. Denote by the strict transform of a generic straight line on and the exceptional divisors of the blown-up points on respectively. We consider the variety of all irreducible curves in with nodes as the only singularities and give asymptotically nearly optimal sufficient conditions for its smoothness, irreducibility and non-emptiness. Moreover, we extend our conditions for the smoothness and the irreducibility to families of reducible curves. For we give the complete answer concerning the existence of nodal curves in .

     

The Kalman condition for the boundary controllability of coupled parabolic systems. Bounds on biorthogonal families to complex matrix exponentials

This paper is devoted to prove the controllability to trajectories of a system of n one-dimensional parabolic equations when the control is exerted on a part of the boundary by means of m controls. We give a general Kalman condition (necessary and sufficient) and also present a construction and sharp estimates of a biorthogonal family in L²(0,T;C) to {tje−Λkt}.     

Weighted composition operators between weighted spaces of vector-valued holomorphic functions on Banach spaces

Let B(E, F) be the Banach Space of all continuous linear operators from a Banach Space E into a Banach space F. Let U_X and U_Y be balanced open subsets of Banach spaces X and Y, respectively. Let V and W be two Nachbin families of continuous weights on U_X and U_Y, respectively. Let HV(U_X, E) (or HV₀(U_X, E)) and HW(U_Y, F) (or HW₀(U_Y, F)) be the weighted spaces of vector-valued holomorphic functions. In this paper, we investigate the holomorphic mappings ? : U_Y → U_X and ψ : U_Y → B(E, F) which generate weighted composition operators between these weighted spaces.
