Extraction of the neutron charge form factor G<Superscript>n</Superscript><Subscript>E</Subscript>(Q<Superscript>2</Superscript>) from the charge form factor of deuteron G<Superscript>d</Superscript><Subscript>C</Subscript>(Q<Superscript>2</Superscript>)

We extract the neutron charge form factor G ⁿ _E(Q ²) from the charge form factor of deuteron G ^d _C(Q ²) obtained from T ₂₀(Q ²) data at 0≤Q ²≤ 1.717 (GeV/c)². The extraction is based on the relativistic impulse approximation in the instant form of the relativistic Hamiltonian dynamics. Our results (12 new points) are compatible with existing values of the neutron charge form factor of other authors. We propose a fit for the whole set (36 points) taking into account the data for the slope of the form factor at Q ² = 0. Measurement of the electric form factor of the neutron at Q2 = 0.3-0.8 (GeV/ c) 2 ⋆

The electric form factor of the neutron, G_E,n, has been measured at the Mainz Microtron by recoil polarimetry in the quasielastic D(¯e, e¯n)p reaction. Three data points have been extracted at squared four-momentum transfers Q ² = 0.3, 0.6 and 0.8 (GeV/c)². Corrections for nuclear binding effects have been applied.This revised version was published online in March 2005. In the previous version, the email address of one author was inadvertently assigned to multiple authors.

Pauli-Fierz Hamiltonians defined as quadratic forms

We study Pauli-Fierz Hamiltonians-self-adjoint operators describing a small quantum system interacting with a bosonic field. Using quadratic form techniques, we extend the results of Dereziński-Gérard and Gérard about the self-adjointness, the location of the essential spectrum and the existence of a ground state to a large class of Pauli-Fierz Hamiltonians.

Nucleon-nucleon interaction with tensor forces in the quark compound bag model

A model forN-N interaction proposed earlier by two of us (VSB and VKG), has been extended to incorporate the tensor component of the nuclear force. Based on the quark compound bag model (QCB), the nucleon-nucleon potential has a short range repulsive core which is non-local and has a characteristic energy dependence and is expressed in terms of the parameters relating to the six-quark compound bag. To account for the low energy properties, this repulsive core interaction is supplemented by a phenomenological non-local potential containing both central (S-wave) and tensor components and operates only outside the QCB. Using this model, we analyse and compare the results with the experimental data for the electromagnetic form factors of the deuteron, theD-state observables, such as the quadrupole moment, theD-state probability, and theD/S ratio along with then-p scattering phase shifts up to about 400 MeV.     

Elliptic Equation and New Solutions to Nonlinear Wave Equations

The new solutions to elliptic equation are shown, and then the elliptic: equation is taken as a transformation and is applied to solve nonlinear wave equations. It is shown that more kinds of solutions are derived, such as periodic solutions of rational form, solitary wave solutions of rational form, and so on.     

Pseudo-Kähler metrics on six-dimensional nilpotent Lie algebras

It is well known that any symplectic manifold (M,Ω) has an almost complex structure J which is compatible with Ω. In this paper, we deal with the existence of compatible pairs (J,Ω) on nilpotent Lie algebras of dimension ≤6, J being an integrable almost complex structure. We prove that if such a pair exists, J must satisfy some extra conditions, namely J must be nilpotent in the sense of [Trans. Am. Math. Soc. 352 (2000) 5405]. Associated to any such a compatible pair, there is a pseudo-Kähler metric g which cannot be positive definite unless be abelian. All these metrics are Ricci flat, although many of them are nonflat, and we study the behaviour of its curvature tensor under deformation.
