We deal with complete hypersurfaces immersed in a semi-Riemannian warped product of the type eI×f M~n,where M~n is a connected n-dimensional oriented Riemannian manifold.When the fiber M~n is complete with sectional curvature-k≤K_M for some positive constant k,under appropriate restrictions on the norm of the gradient of the height function h,we proceed with our technique in order to guarantee that complete hypersurface immersed in a semi-Riemannian warped product is a slice.Our approach is based on the well known generalized maximum principle and another suitable maximum principle at the infinity due to Yau.

Traveling waves in a generalized nonlinear dispersive–dissipative equation

Zeidan In this paper, we consider the existence of traveling waves in a generalized nonlinear dispersive–dissipative equation, which is found in many areas of application including waves in a thermoconvective liquid layer and nonlinear electromagnetic waves. By using the theory of dynamical systems, specifically based on geometric singular perturbation theory and invariant manifold theory, Fredholm theory, and the linear chain trick, we construct a locally invariant manifold for the associated traveling wave equation and use this invariant manifold to obtain the traveling waves for the nonlinear dispersive–dissipative equation. Iteration-complexity of the subgradient method on Riemannian manifolds with lower bounded curvature

The subgradient method for convex optimization problems on complete Riemannian manifolds with lower bounded sectional curvature is analysed in this paper. Iteration-complexity bounds of the subgradient method with exogenous step-size and Polyak's step-size are stablished, completing and improving recent results on the subject.

存在通道幅相与互耦两种误差的均匀圆环阵流形曲线拟合方法

针对实际装配后均匀圆环阵的阵列流形向量偏离理论值的问题,提出一种利用单声源从不同方位入射阵列时的阵列幅度相位响应拟合阵列流形模型的算法。考虑阵列存在通道幅度相位一致性偏差和阵元间互耦作用,导出阵列幅度相位响应与流形误差参数的关系式,利用互耦矩阵在模态域可与阵列流形分离的特性,将关于误差参数的关系式降次为线性方程组,再联合多个方位对误差参数做最小二乘估计。对于只存在其中一种误差的特例情况,给出了对应高精度、低复杂度的估计方法。最后,利用数值仿真对所提方法的拟合精度进行评估,拟合后的阵列流形误差距离缩减至10^-2量级,水池实验数据也验证了算法在实际应用中的可行性。     

Eigenvalue estimate on complete noncompact Riemannian manifolds and applications

We obtain some sharp estimates on the first eigenvalues of complete noncompact Riemannian manifolds under assumptions of volume growth. Using these estimates we study hypersurfaces with constant mean curvature and give some estimates on the mean curvatures.

     

On doubly warped product Finsler manifolds

In this paper, we introduce horizontal and vertical warped product Finsler manifolds. We prove that every C-reducible or proper Berwaldian doubly warped product Finsler manifold is Riemannian. Then, we find the relation between Riemannian curvatures of doubly warped product Finsler manifold and its components, and consider the cases that this manifold is flat or has scalar flag curvature. We define the doubly warped Sasaki-Matsumoto metric for warped product manifolds and find a condition under which the horizontal and vertical tangent bundles are totally geodesic. We obtain some conditions under which a foliated manifold reduces to a Reinhart manifold. Finally, we study an almost complex structure on the tangent bundle of a doubly warped product Finsler manifold.
