A method is developed for analysis of the elastoplastic stress-strain state of laminated shells of revolution under axisymmetric
loading. The shells are made of isotropic and transversally isotropic materials with different moduli. The method is based
on the Kirchhoff-Love hypotheses for the whole laminate, the theory of deformation along paths of small curvature (for isotropic
materials), and the theory of elasticity with different tensile and compressive moduli (transversely isotropic materials).
The problem is solved by the method of successive approximations. Numerical examples are given

An analytical study of nonlinear flexural vibrations of cylindrical shells to random excitation is presented. Donnell's thin-shell theory is used to develop the governing equations of motion. Thermal effects for a uniform temperature rise through the shell thickness are included in the formulation. A Monte Carlo simulation technique of stationary random processes, multi-mode Galerkin-like approach and numerical integration procedures are used to develop nonlinear response solutions of simply-supported cylindrical shells. Numerical results include time domain response histories, root-mean-square values and histograms of probability density. Comparison of Monte Carlo results is made to those obtained by statistical linearization and the Fokker–Planck equation. 相似文献

This paper describes the nonlinear, postcritical behavior of parametrically excited, shallow, cylindrical panels, which are modeled with two or four degrees of freedom. The analysis shows complicated dynamic behavior. Stable, periodic motions coexist with the trivial solution for very small values of the excitation amplitude. Moreover, a stable, chaotic attractor could be found coexisting with the trivial solution.

L'analisi evidenzia un comportamento dinamico complesso. Moti periodici stabili coesistono con la soluzione banale per valori molto piccoli dell'ampiezza dell'eccitazione. Shape and physical properties of dielectric elastomers are changeable by voltage. Theoretical works show that these changes can be harnessed to tune the propagation of superposed elastic waves. We experimentally demonstrate this concept by manipulating waves in a dielectric elastomer film, focusing on the flexural mode at low frequencies. To this end, we design an experimental apparatus to pre-stretch, actuate, excite waves at low frequencies in a VHB™ 4910 film, and measure the velocity of the fundamental flexural mode. Our results show that the excited wave velocity is slowed down by the applied voltage, and provide experimental proof of concept for the application of deformable dielectrics as tunable waveguides. 相似文献

Non-linear vibrations of free-edge shallow spherical shells are investigated, in order to predict the trend of non-linearity (hardening/softening behaviour) for each mode of the shell, as a function of its geometry. The analog for thin shallow shells of von Kármán's theory for large deflection of plates is used. The main difficulty in predicting the trend of non-linearity relies in the truncation used for the analysis of the partial differential equations (PDEs) of motion. Here, non-linear normal modes through real normal form theory are used. This formalism allows deriving the analytical expression of the coefficient governing the trend of non-linearity. The variation of this coefficient with respect to the geometry of the shell (radius of curvature R, thickness h and outer diameter 2a) is then numerically computed, for axisymmetric as well as asymmetric modes. Plates (obtained as R→∞) are known to display a hardening behaviour, whereas shells generally behave in a softening way. The transition between these two types of non-linearity is clearly studied, and the specific role of 2:1 internal resonances in this process is clarified. 相似文献

在圆形三向网架非线性动力学基本方程的基础上,用拟壳法给出了圆底扁球面三向网壳的非线性动力学基本方程.在固定边界条件下,引入了异于等厚度壳的无量纲量,对基本方程和边界条件进行无量纲化,通过Galerkin作用得到了一个含二次、三次的非线性动力学方程.为求Melnikov函数,对一类非线性动力系统的自由振动方程进行了求解,得到了此类问题的准确解.在无激励情况下,讨论了稳定性问题.在外激励情况下,通过求Melnikov函数,给出了可能发生混沌运动的条件.通过数字仿真绘出了平面相图,证实了混沌运动的存在. 相似文献
