Every leading institution and manufacturing company in the world is dealing with some aspects of flexible automation. This is because they have found that designing and making goods and products on order rather than for stock is the key issue in cutting manufacturing costs and lead time, and eventually staying in business in the future. This paper discusses the way in which this above outlined goal can be implemented in the assembly business, as well as giving design rules on how to design flexible assembly and inspection cells and systems. The rules are justified by solid model simulation and the author's industrial and laboratory experience.  相似文献

In this paper we present an approach for modelling and analyzing flexible manufacturing systems (FMSs) using Petri nets. In this approach, we first build a Petri net model (PNM) of the given FMS in a bottom-up fashion and then analyze important qualitative aspects of FMS behaviour such as existence/absence of deadlocks and buffer overflows. The basis for our approach is a theorem we state and prove for computing the invariants of the union of a finite number of Petri nets when the invariants of the individual nets are known. We illustrate our approach using two typical manufacturing systems: an automated transfer line and a simple FMS.A shorter version of this paper was presented at the 1st ORSA/TIMS Special Interest Conference on FMSs, University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, August 1984.  相似文献

To effectively utilise hospital beds, operating rooms (OR) and other treatment spaces, it is necessary to precisely plan patient admissions and treatments in advance. As patient treatment and recovery times are unequal and uncertain, this is not easy. In response, a sophisticated flexible job-shop scheduling (FJSS) model is introduced, whereby patients, beds, hospital wards and health care activities are respectively treated as jobs, single machines, parallel machines and operations. Our approach is novel because an entire hospital is describable and schedulable in one integrated approach. The scheduling model can be used to recompute timings after deviations, delays, postponements and cancellations. It also includes advanced conditions such as activity and machine setup times, transfer times between activities, blocking limitations and no wait conditions, timing and occupancy restrictions, buffering for robustness, fixed activities and sequences, release times and strict deadlines. To solve the FJSS problem, constructive algorithms and hybrid meta-heuristics have been developed. Our numerical testing shows that the proposed solution techniques are capable of solving problems of real world size. This outcome further highlights the value of the scheduling model and its potential for integration into actual hospital information systems.  相似文献

The so-called plastic technology first developed for the Li-based batteries leads to a new flexible infrared modulator. Orthorhombic monohydrated tungsten oxide (o-WO3 · H2O) is used as the active insertion element in the LiCoO2/o-WO3 · H2O system. To prevent its degradation under air moisture, the device is protected with hermetic plastic and a window. Measurements of the reflectivity values indicate a very good contrast between the bleached and colored states for the first insertion (about 50% contrast in the 2.5–15 μm range), but the contrast between the inserted and de-inserted states is only about 30%. With the rapid development in computer technologies, mathematical programming-based technique to solve scheduling problems is significantly receiving attention from researchers. Although, it is not efficient solution method due to the NP-hard structure of these problems, mathematical programming formulation is the first step to develop an effective heuristic. Numerous comparative studies for variety scheduling problems have appeared over the years. But in our search in literature there is not an entirely review for mathematical formulations of flexible job shop scheduling problems (FJSP). In this paper, four the most widely used formulations of the FJSP are compiled from literature and a time-indexed model for FJSP is proposed. These formulations are evaluated under three categories that are distinguished by the type of binary variable that they rely on for using of sequencing operations on machines. In this paper, a directional distance approach is proposed to deal with network DEA problems in which the processes may generate not only desirable final outputs but also undesirable outputs. The proposed approach is applied to the problem of modelling and benchmarking airport operations. The corresponding network DEA model considers two process (Aircraft Movement and Aircraft Loading) with two final outputs (Annual Passenger Movement and Annual Cargo handled), one intermediate product (Aircraft Traffic Movements) and two undesirable outputs (Number of Delayed Flights and Accumulated Flight Delays). The proposed approach has been applied to Spanish airports data for year 2008 comparing the computed directional distance efficiency scores with those obtained using a conventional, single-process directional distance function approach. From this comparison, it can be concluded that the proposed network DEA approach has more discriminatory power than its single-process counterpart, uncovering more inefficiencies and providing more valid results.  相似文献

In the current field of biomedical engineering, the research on implanted antennas has attracted more and more attention. This paper presents a flexible terrestrial radiating antenna with circular polarization characteristics that satisfy various requirements for biomedical implantable antennas. The new type of flexible material is adopted and a novel model is proposed. The square ground with small gap is implemented in the proposed antenna. The passive components can match the impedance and meet the requirements of the circular polarization wave. Simulation is carried out in a single layer tissue model to estimate the performance of the antenna and compared with multilayer tissue model. In addition, the flexible circularly polarized antenna has low profile characteristics and a wide axial ratio bandwidth of 250 MHz, ranging from 2.28 to 2.53 GHz. This paper uses pork to simulate single‐layer and multi‐layer tissue model. The flexible circular polarized antenna prototype is placed in the organization model for performance simulation test, and the measurement impedance bandwidth of 500 MHz is realized in the industrial scientific medical frequency band of 2.4–2.48 GHz.  相似文献

近年来,柔性电子器件的发展日新月异。以碳纳米管为代表的碳纳米材料,尤其是其组装成的宏观结构碳纳米管薄膜具有良好的柔性和优异的导电性,且具有化学稳定、热稳定、光学透明性等优点,在柔性电子领域展现了极大的应用潜力。本文简要综述了近年来碳纳米管薄膜在柔性电子器件领域的研究进展。首先详细介绍了碳纳米管薄膜的两类主要制备方法,分别为干法制备和湿法制备;继而介绍了碳纳米管薄膜在多种柔性电子器件的组装、性能与应用方面的最新研究进展;最后总结了碳纳米管薄膜基柔性电子领域的发展现状,并讨论了该领域所面临的挑战及其未来前景。  相似文献

A flexible integration of optical switch with optical power splitting and attenuating functions has been proposed to optimally serve optical fiber-based networking applications. In this switch, an etched binary-slope sidewall reflector is electrostatically actuated in and out of the plane to manipulate optical signals between input and output optical fibers. The fabrication process is a simple combination of a bulk-silicon micromachining process and silicon-to-glass anodic bonding where fiber alignment grooves, reflectors and actuators are fabricated on the same silicon substrate. Ball-lensed fibers are assembled with the device to achieve high coupling efficiency. Performances of the fabricated devices are measured and discussed. The switching time is less than 9 ms at 31 V. The excess loss of the device is less than 3 dB and the controllable attenuation range is up to 38 dB at 139 V, respectively. Moreover, polarization-dependent loss is less than 0.7 dB in the whole attenuation and splitting range.  相似文献

Non-noble bifunctional electrocatalysts with robust activity and stability toward oxygen evolution reaction (OER) and oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) are greatly significant but challenging for Zn-air batteries. Here, in situ confinement of FeNx active sites in high porosity carbon framework (FeNx/CMCC) derived from chelate of carboxymethylcellulose (CMC) and iron ions were synthesized. Particularly, construction of FeNx within porous carbon framework accelerates the electron transfer and the sufficient utilization of active centers, and then expedites the reaction kinetics of ORR and OER. As expected, the optimized FeNx/CMCC exhibits superior ORR activity with a larger half-wave potential of 0.869 V. The rechargeable Zn-air battery delivers a higher power density of 99.6 mW/cm2 and a special capacity of 781.9 mA h/gZn at 10 mA/cm2, together with excellent durability of over 335 h. Remarkably, the as-assembled solid-state battery exhibits a higher open circuit voltage (OCV) of 1.5 V, a special capacity of 709.7 mA h/gZn, as well as prolonged cycling stability (90 h). Moreover, the flexible solid-state battery displays negligible loss of electrochemical performance under various bending angles, illustrating its potential application in flexible electronic devices.  相似文献
