We present an optimal error estimate of the numerical velocity, pressure, and angular velocity for the fully discrete penalty finite element method of the micropolar equations when the parameters ?, Δ t, and h are sufficiently small. In order to obtain this estimate, we present the time discretization of the penalty micropolar equation that is based on the backward Euler scheme; the spatial discretization of the time discretized penalty micropolar equation is based on a finite elements space pair (X h , M h ) that satisfies some approximations properties.  相似文献

To each commutative ring R we can associate a zero divisor graph whose vertices are the zero divisors of R and such that two vertices are adjacent if their product is zero. Detecting isomorphisms among zero divisor graphs can be reduced to the problem of computing the classes of R under a suitable semigroup congruence. Presently, we introduce a strategy for computing this quotient for local rings using knowledge about a generating set for the maximal ideal. As an example, we then compute Γ(R) for several classes of rings; with the results in [4 Bloomfield , N. , Wickham , C. ( 2010 ). Local rings with genus 2 zero divisor graph . Comm. In this paper we develop a set of numerical techniques for the simulation of the profile evolution of a valley glacier in the framework of isothermal shallow ice approximation models. The different mathematical formulations are given in terms of a highly nonlinear parabolic equation. A first nonlinearity comes from the free boundary problem associated with the unknown basal extension of the glacier region. This feature is treated using a fixed domain complementarity formulation which is solved numerically by a duality method. The nonlinear diffusive term is explicitly treated in the time marching scheme. A convection dominated problem arises, so a characteristic scheme is proposed for the time discretization, while piecewise linear finite elements are used for the spatial discretization. The presence of infinite slopes in polar regimes motivates an alternative formulation based on a prescribed flux boundary condition at the head of the glacier instead a homogeneous Dirichlet one. Finally, several numerical examples illustrate the performance of the proposed methods.  相似文献

In the first part, different characterizations for the dimension of the feasible set in linear semi-infinite programming are provided. They involve the corresponding dimensions of some parameter sets, as the consequent inequalities cone and its lineality subspace. The remaining sections of the paper deal with Farkas–Minkowski systems. The third section is devoted to establish some results concerning the optimal set and its dimension, exploiting its strong relation with a particular parameter cone

associated with the corresponding unstable constraints. The last section approaches the finite reducibility problem. We consider a class of generalized KdV equations with a small parameter and nonlinearities of the type um. We create a finite differences scheme to simulate the solution of the Cauchy problem and present some numerical results for the problem of the solitary waves interaction. In particular, we consider sufficient condition under which pairs of solitary waves interact, in the asymptotic sense, in accordance with the soliton scenario.  相似文献
