The fast trace analysis method used to monitor 2,3,7,8-TCDD in stack gas during the incineration of the waste from Seveso is described. The sampling of volatile organic compounds from flue gases, distributed between all three aggregation states, is based on a micromethod developed for the trace analysis of water using a specially dimensioned adsorptive charcoal filter (1.5 mg charcoal). In conjunction with subsequent GC/MS measurements the rapid “fast cycle trace analysis” ensured specific 2,3,7,8-TCDD detection down to 100 pg per m3 flue gas in cycle times of about 1–2 hours.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with stability analysis of asymptotic profiles for (possibly sign-changing) solutions vanishing in finite time of the Cauchy–Dirichlet problems for fast diffusion equations in annuli. It is proved that the unique positive radial profile is not asymptotically stable, and moreover, it is unstable for the two-dimensional annulus. Furthermore, the method of stability analysis presented here will be also applied to exhibit symmetry breaking of least energy solutions.  相似文献

The current density (JE), the piecewise linear recursive convolution (PLRC) and the constant convolution recursive (CRC) techniques are developed and integrated into the transmission line matrix (TLM) algorithm. A comparison of these three schemes according to the criteria of accuracy and CPU time is presented. Numerical experiments show that JE provides the most accurate solution and requires the least CPU time; PLRC is nearly as accurate but consumes more CPU time than CRC.  相似文献

1H NMR and SEC analyses are used to investigate the overall efficiency of Copper Catalyzed Azide Alkyne Cycloaddition (CuAAC) “click” coupling reactions between alkyne‐ and azide‐terminated polymers using polystyrene as a model. Quantitative convolution modeling of the entire molecular weight distribution is applied to characterize the outcomes of the functional polymer synthesis reactions (i.e., by atom transfer radical polymerization), as well as the CuAAC coupling reaction. Incomplete functionality of the azide‐terminated polystyrene (∼92%) proves to be the largest factor compromising the efficacy of the CuAAC coupling reaction and is attributed primarily to the loss of terminal bromide functionality during its synthesis. The efficiency of the SN2 reaction converting bromide to azide was found to be about 99%. After taking into account the influence of non‐functional polymer, we find that, under the reaction conditions used, the efficiency of the CuAAC coupling reaction determined from both techniques is about 94%. These inefficiencies compromise the fidelity and potential utility of CuAAC coupling reactions for the synthesis of hierarchically structured polymers. While CuAAC efficiency is expected to depend on the specific reaction conditions used, the framework described for determining reaction efficiency does provide a means for ultimately optimizing the reaction conditions for CuAAC coupling reactions. © 2017 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. The fast transient fluorescence (FTRF) technique was used to study critical exponents at the glass transition in free-radical crosslinking copolymerization (FCC) for two different monomeric systems, methyl methacrylate (MMA) and styrene (S). Pyrene (Py ) was used as a fluorescence probe. The fluorescence lifetimes of Py from its decay traces were measured and used to monitor the gelation process. Changes in the viscosity of the pregel solutions due to glass formation dramatically enhance the fluorescent yield of aromatic molecules. This effect is used to study the glass transition upon gelation of MMA and S monomeric systems as a function of time, at various temperatures and crosslinker concentrations. The results are interpreted in the view of percolation theory. The gel fraction and weight average degree of polymerization exponents β and γ are found to be 0.37 ± 0.02 and 1.66 ± 0.07 in agreement with percolation results.  相似文献

Absolute Kα line spectroscopy is proposed for studying laser–plasma interactions taking place in the Au cone-guided fast ignition targets. X-ray spectra ranging from 20 to 100 keV were quantitatively measured with a Laue spectrometer composed of a cylindrically curved crystal and a filter-absorption method for Bremsstrahlung continuum emission. The absolute sensitivities of the Laue spectrometer systems were calibrated using pre-characterized laser-produced X-ray sources and radioisotopes. The integrated reflectivity for the crystal is in good agreement with predictions by an X-ray diffraction code. The energy transfer efficiency from incident laser beams to hot electrons, as the energy transfer mechanism, is derived from this work. The absolute yield of Au and Ta Kα lines were measured in the fast ignition experimental campaign performed at Institute of Laser Engineering, Osaka University. Applying the hot electron spectrum information from electron spectrometer and scaling laws, the energy transfer efficiency from the incident LFEX, a kJ-class PW laser, to hot electrons was derived for the first time.  相似文献

We study stable blow-up dynamics in the generalized Hartree equation with radial symmetry, which is a Schrödinger-type equation with a nonlocal, convolution-type nonlinearity: First, we consider the -critical case in dimensions and obtain that a generic blow-up has a self-similar structure and exhibits not only the square root blowup rate , but also the log-log correction (via asymptotic analysis and functional fitting), thus, behaving similarly to the stable blow-up regime in the -critical nonlinear Schrödinger equation. In this setting, we also study blow-up profiles and show that generic blow-up solutions converge to the rescaled , a ground state solution of the elliptic equation . We also consider the -supercritical case in dimensions . We derive the profile equation for the self-similar blow-up and establish the existence and local uniqueness of its solutions. As in the NLS -supercritical regime, the profile equation exhibits branches of nonoscillating, polynomially decaying (multi-bump) solutions. A numerical scheme of putting constraints into solving the corresponding ordinary differential equation is applied during the process of finding the multi-bump solutions. Direct numerical simulation of solutions to the generalized Hartree equation by the dynamic rescaling method indicates that the is the profile for the stable blow-up. In this supercritical case, we obtain the blow-up rate without any correction. This blow-up happens at the focusing level , and thus, numerically observable (unlike the -critical case). In summary, we find that the results are similar to the behavior of stable self-similar blowup solutions in the corresponding settings for the nonlinear Schrödinger equation. Consequently, one may expect that the form of the nonlinearity in the Schrödinger-type equations is not essential in the stable formation of singularities.  相似文献
