In this paper we generalize the notion of cyclic code and construct codes as ideals in finite quotients of non-commutative polynomial rings, so called skew polynomial rings of automorphism type. We propose a method to construct block codes of prescribed rank and a method to construct block codes of prescribed distance. Since there is no unique factorization in skew polynomial rings, there are much more ideals and therefore much more codes than in the commutative case. In particular we obtain a [40, 23, 10]4 code by imposing a distance and a [42,14,21]8 code by imposing a rank, which both improve by one the minimum distance of the previously best known linear codes of equal length and dimension over those fields. There is a strong connection with linear difference operators and with linearized polynomials (or q-polynomials) reviewed in the first section.   相似文献

In this work we present a survey of the main results in the theory of Weierstrass semigroups at several points, with special attention to the determination of bounds for the cardinality of its set of gaps. We also review results on applications to the theory of error correcting codes. We then recall a generalization of the concept of Weierstrass semigroup, which is the Weierstrass set associated to a linear system and several points. We finish by presenting new results on this Weierstrass set, including some on the cardinality of its set of gaps.   相似文献

The statistical physics properties of low-density parity-check codes for the binary symmetric channel are investigated as a spin glass problem with multi-spin interactions and quenched random fields by the cavity method. By evaluating the entropy function at the Nishimori temperature, we find that irregular constructions with heterogeneous degree distribution of check(bit) nodes have higher decoding thresholds compared to regular counterparts with homogeneous degree distribution. We also show that the instability of the mean-field calculation takes place only after the entropy crisis, suggesting the presence of a frozen glassy phase at low temperatures. When no prior knowledge of channel noise is assumed(searching for the ground state), we find that a reinforced strategy on normal belief propagation will boost the decoding threshold to a higher value than the normal belief propagation. This value is close to the dynamical transition where all local search heuristics fail to identify the true message(codeword or the ferromagnetic state). After the dynamical transition, the number of metastable states with larger energy density(than the ferromagnetic state)becomes exponentially numerous. When the noise level of the transmission channel approaches the static transition point, there starts to exist exponentially numerous codewords sharing the identical ferromagnetic energy.  相似文献

The Friedberg–Lee (FL) symmetry is generated by a transformation of a fermionic field q to q+ξz. This symmetry puts very restrictive constraints on allowed terms in a Lagrangian. Applying this symmetry to N fermionic fields, we find that the number of independent fields is reduced to N−1 if the fields have gauge interaction or the transformation is a local one. Using this property, we find that a seesaw model originally with three generations of left- and right-handed neutrinos, with the left-handed neutrinos unaffected but the right-handed neutrinos transformed under the local FL translation, is reduced to an effective theory of minimal seesaw which has only two right-handed neutrinos. The symmetry predicts that one of the light neutrino masses must be zero.  相似文献

For the orthosymplectic Lie superalgebra ◂⋅▸OSP(2,2), we choose a set of basis matrices. A linear combination of those basis matrices presents a spatial spectral matrix. The compatible condition of the spatial part and the corresponding temporal parts of the spectral problem leads to a generalized super AKNS (GSAKNS) hierarchy. Fusion-evaporation cross-sections for the α-induced reactions upon197Au,193Ir,191Ir,185Re,181Ta,121Sb and69Ga nuclei at bombarding energies near the Coulomb barrier have been measured by off-line observation of the γ-rays emitted in the radioactive decay of the residual nuclei using stacked foil technique. The total fusion cross-section for the systems have been compared with simple statistical model calculations using the code ALICE/91 as well as with the coupled channel calculations that include the β2 and ν4 slatic deformations and dynamic couplings of the vibrational/rotational states of the target and the projet tile using the code CCDEF.  相似文献
