In this work, we study the resonant transmission of acoustic waves through a plate with quasiperiodic surface corrugations. The transmission spectrum shows peculiar transmission peaks, which cannot be simply attributed to the coherent diffraction as recognized previously in structured hard plates (without sustaining internal modes), whereas come from the resonant excitation of the coupled Stoneley surface modes in the elastic plate. The excitation frequencies can be determined by the geometrical structure factor of the quasiperiodic lattice, combining with the dispersion relation of the surface modes.  相似文献

In this paper we establish a complete local theory for the energy-critical nonlinear wave equation (NLW) in high dimensions ? × ? d with d ≥ 6. We prove the stability of solutions under the weak condition that the perturbation of the linear flow is small in certain space-time norms. As a by-product of our stability analysis, we also prove local well-posedness of solutions for which we only assume the smallness of the linear evolution. These results provide essential technical tools that can be applied towards obtaining the extension to high dimensions of the analysis of Kenig and Merle [17 Kenig , C.E. , Merle , F. ( 2008 ). Let G be a reductive group over a nonperfect field k. We study rationality problems for Serre’s notion of complete reducibility of subgroups of G. In our previous work, we constructed examples of subgroups H of G that are G-completely reducible but not G-completely reducible over k (and vice versa). In this article, we give a theoretical underpinning of those constructions. Then using Geometric Invariant Theory, we obtain a new result on the structure of G(k)-(and G-) orbits in an arbitrary affine G-variety. This paper establishes a lattice Boltzmann method (LBM) with two amending functions for solving partial differential equations (PDEs) arising in Asian and lookback options pricing. The time evolution of stock prices can be regarded as the movement of randomizing particles in different directions, and the discrete scheme of LBM can be interpreted as the binomial models. With the Chapman-Enskog multi-scale expansion, the PDEs are recovered correctly from the continuous Boltzmann equation and the computational complexity is O(N), where N is the number of space nodes. Compared to the traditional LBM, the coefficients of equilibrium distribution and amending functions are taken as polynomials instead of constants. The stability of LBM is studied via numerical examples and numerical comparisons show that the LBM is as accurate as the existing numerical methods for pricing the exotic options and takes much less CPU time.  相似文献

Experimental results of the SPHINX Collaboration on studying proton diffractive production processes are presented. Evidences for new baryon states with masses 2 GeV were obtained in hyperon-kaon effective mass spectra in several reactions. Unusual properties of these massive states (small enough decay widths, large branching ratios for their decays with strange particles in final states) make them serious candidates for cryptoexotic pentaquark baryons with hidden strangeness . New results for these states are presented here, as well as recent data on large violation of the OZI rule in proton diffractive dissociation.  相似文献

近年来,城市地标建筑的建设中,高层连体建筑越来越受到青睐,在其服役期内不可避免地受到风和地震等多种灾害作用。而单一灾害作用下的结构失效概率低估了结构损伤乃至倒塌的可能性,迫切需要多灾害作用下的结构安全性能评价方法。本文以苏州国际会议酒店的连体高层建筑为对象,开展了地震和风耦合作用下的联合易损性分析方法研究。首先,建立了地震和风耦合作用下的多灾害易损性函数和结构性能需求函数,形成了多灾害联合易损性分析方法。随后,选取了地震动记录,开展了基于数值风洞的结构风荷载模拟,并进行了单一灾害作用下的结构易损性分析。最后,基于均匀分布抽样了100组地震和风耦合作用的荷载组合,开展了结构多灾害联合易损性分析。结果表明,结构易损性随着PGA和风速的增大而增大;相比单一灾害作用,地震与风耦合作用下,结构各破坏状态的失效概率均有所增加;当风速达40 m/s时,罕遇地震作用下结构轻微破坏、中等破坏、严重破坏和倒塌破坏的概率相比仅地震作用时分别增加了1.13%,35.67%,84.00%和98.33%。本文研究为复杂高层建筑多灾害安全性能评价提供了可用工具和参考。  相似文献

Exotic decay of some heavy nuclei with Z≥100 formed in heavy ion ‘cold fusion’ reaction were studied taking interacting barrier consisting of Coulomb and proximity potential. Calculated half-life time shows that some modes of decay are well within the present upper limit for measurements (T 1/2<1030 s). Cluster formation probabilities are calculated for different clusters within fission model. It is found that transition from cluster mode to fission mode take place at mass of the cluster, A 2=20 in exotic decay which is comparable with the value A 2=16 of Shanmugam et al based on cubic plus Yukawa plus exponential model (CYEM).  相似文献

Half life for the emission of exotic clusters like 8Be, 12C, 16O, 20Ne, 24Mg and 28Si are computed taking Coulomb and proximity potentials as interacting barrier and many of these are found well within the present upper limit of measurement. These results lie very close to those values reported by Shanmugam et al using their cubic plus Yukawa plus exponential model (CYEM). It is found that 12C and 16O emissions from 116Ce and 16O from 118Ce are most favorable for measurement (T 1/2<1010 s). Lowest half life time for 16O emission from 116Ce stress the role of doubly magic 100Sn daughter in exotic decay. Geiger-Nuttall plots were studied for different clusters and are found to be linear. Inclusion of proximity potential will not produce much deviation to linear nature of Geiger-Nuttall plots. It is observed that neutron excess in the parent nuclei slow down the exotic decay process. These findings support the earlier observations of Gupta and collaborators using their preformed cluster model (PCM).  相似文献
