Fredholm Operators and Riesz Theory for Polynomially Compact Operators

In this article, we give a characterization of a class of bounded Fredholm operators on a Banach space which is developed to present some general existence results of the operators equation of the second kind. The obtained results are used to describe the Riesz–Schauder theory of compact operators in the more general setting of polynomially compact operators.     

Adaptive application of operators in standard representation

Recently adaptive wavelet methods have been developed which can be shown to exhibit an asymptotically optimal accuracy/work balance for a wide class of variational problems including classical elliptic boundary value problems, boundary integral equations as well as certain classes of noncoercive problems such as saddle point problems. A core ingredient of these schemes is the approximate application of the involved operators in standard wavelet representation. Optimal computational complexity could be shown under the assumption that the entries in properly compressed standard representations are known or computable in average at unit cost. In this paper we propose concrete computational strategies and show under which circumstances this assumption is justified in the context of elliptic boundary value problems. Dedicated to Charles A. On a differential game in a nondamped distributed system

We study a differential game of approach in a system whose dynamics is described by a Sobolev‐type second‐order operator differential equation in Hilbert spaces. Solutions of the equation are represented by cosine and sine operator functions. To obtain solvability conditions of the game problem, we use support functionals of two sets, which defined by the behaviors of pursuer and evader. The results are applied to the investigation of conflicted‐controlled dynamics of bending waves in a rod.     

A note on the eigenvalues of p‐fractional Hardy–Sobolev operator with indefinite weight

In this article, we study the eigenvalues of p‐fractional Hardy operator where , , , and Ω is an unbounded domain in with Lipschitz boundary containing 0. The weight function V may change sign and may have singular points. We also show that the least positive eigenvalue is simple and it is uniquely associated to a nonnegative eigenfunction. Moreover, we proved that there exists a sequence of eigenvalues as .     

The Complete Biorthogonal Expansion Theorem and Its Application to a Class of Rectangular Plate Equations

In this paper, we first establish the separable $Hamiltonian$ system of rectangular cantilever thin plate bending problems by choosing proper dual vectors. Then using the characteristics of off-diagonal infinite-dimensional $Hamiltonian$ operator matrix, we derive the biorthogonal relationships of the eigenfunction systems and based on it we further obtain the complete biorthogonal expansion theorem. Finally, applying this theorem we obtain the general solutions of rectangular cantilever thin plate bending problems with two opposite edges slidingly supported.     

Algebra matrix and similarity classification of operators

In this paper, by the Gelfand representation theory and the Silov idempotents theorem, we first obtain a central decomposition theorem related to a unital semi-simple n-homogeneous Banach algebra, and then give a similarity classification of two strongly irreducible Cowen-Douglas operators using this theorem.

Banach空间中极大单调算子零点的带误差项的新迭代格式

令E为实光滑、一致凸Banach空间,E为其对偶空间,AE×E为极大单调算子且A-10≠Φ.本文将引入新的迭代算法,并利用Lyapunov泛函,Qr算子与广义投影算子等技巧,证明了迭代序列弱收敛于极大单调算子A的零点的结论.
