Linear stability of a fluid channel with a porous layer in the center   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
We perform a Poiseuille flow in a channel linear stability analysis of a inserted with one porous layer in the centre, and focus mainly on the effect of porous filling ratio. The spectral collocation technique is adopted to solve the coupled linear stability problem. We investigate the effect of permeability, σ, with fixed porous filling ratio ψ = 1/3 and then the effect of change in porous filling ratio. As shown in the paper, with increasing σ, almost each eigenvalue on the upper left branch has two subbranches at ψ = 1/3. The channel flow with one porous layer inserted at its middle (ψ = 1/3) is more stable than the structure of two porous layers at upper and bottom walls with the same parameters. By decreasing the filling ratio ψ, the modes on the upper left branch are almost in pairs and move in opposite directions, especially one of the two unstable modes moves back to a stable mode, while the other becomes more instable. It is concluded that there are at most two unstable modes with decreasing filling ratio ψ. By analyzing the relation between ψ and the maximum imaginary part of the streamwise phase speed, Cimax, we find that increasing Re has a destabilizing effect and the effect is more obvious for small Re, where ψ a remarkable drop in Cimax can be observed. The most unstable mode is more sensitive at small filling ratio ψ, and decreasing ψ can not always increase the linear stability. There is a maximum value of Cimax which appears at a small porous filling ratio when Re is larger than 2 000. And the value of filling ratio 0 corresponding to the maximum value of Cimax in the most unstable state is increased with in- creasing Re. There is a critical value of porous filling ratio (= 0.24) for Re = 500; the structure will become stable as ψ grows to surpass the threshold of 0.24; When porous filling ratio ψ increases from 0.4 to 0.6, there is hardly any changes in the values of Cimax. We have also observed that the critical Reynolds number is especially sensitive for small ψ where the fastest drop is observed, and there may be a wide range in which the porous filling ratio has less effect on the stability (ψ ranges from 0.2 to 0.6 at σ = 0.002). At larger permeability, σ, the critical Reynolds number tends to converge no matter what the value of porous filling ratio is.  相似文献

The Lattice Boltzmann method (LBM) has proven to be a promising approach in handling multiphase flow problems. In the most widely applied pseudopotential-based LBM multiphase models, multiphase effects can be added in the form of forces, which is further divided into two aspects of force incorporation scheme and force expression. However, the effect of both aspects on coexistence densities and spurious current has not been evaluated systematically. In this paper, Modified Yuan-type and Zhang-type force expressions are chosen, and then they are incorporated into the lattice Boltzmann equation by the Shan–Chen and exact difference method force incorporation scheme to recover the Carnahan–Starling equation of state (EOS) with an additional surface tension term. Based on the computational results of two phases coexisting at a steady state, it can be observed that the force incorporation scheme affects the coexistence densities implicitly with different relaxation times and does not lead to a large difference in values. Force expression is found to greatly affect the achievable highest density ratio, of which the discrete gradient operator of the pseudopotential plays a crucial role. Spurious current is observed to be related to both the force expression and force incorporation scheme, and in our simulation a different force incorporation scheme brings about a large difference. Moreover, our modification on Yuan-type force expression not only improves the accuracy in capturing coexistence densities at low temperatures, but also provides the possibility of tuning the density ratio and surface tension independently at high density ratios.  相似文献

Although it is known that low signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) can affect tensor metrics, few studies reporting disease or treatment effects on fractional anisotropy (FA) report SNR; the implicit assumption is that SNR is adequate. However, the level at which low SNR causes bias in FA may vary with tissue FA, field strength and analytical methodology. We determined the SNR thresholds at 1.5 T vs. 3 T in regions of white matter (WM) with different FA and compared FA derived using manual region-of-interest (ROI) analysis to tract-based spatial statistics (TBSS), an operator-independent whole-brain analysis tool. Using ROI analysis, SNR thresholds on our hardware-software magnetic resonance platforms were 25 at 1.5 T and 20 at 3 T in the callosal genu (CG), 40 at 1.5 and 3 T in the anterior corona radiata (ACR), and 50 at 1.5 T and 70 at 3 T in the putamen (PUT). Using TBSS, SNR thresholds were 20 at 1.5 T and 3 T in the CG, and 35 at 1.5 T and 40 at 3 T in the ACR. Below these thresholds, the mean FA increased logarithmically, and the standard deviations widened. Achieving bias-free SNR in the PUT required at least nine acquisitions at 1.5 T and six acquisitions at 3 T. In the CG and ACR, bias-free SNR was achieved with at least three acquisitions at 1.5 T and one acquisition at 3 T. Using diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) to study regions of low FA, e.g., basal ganglia, cerebral cortex, and WM in the abnormal brain, SNR should be documented. SNR thresholds below which FA is biased varied with the analytical technique, inherent tissue FA and field strength. Studies using DTI to study WM injury should document that bias-free SNR has been achieved in the region of the brain being studied as part of quality control.  相似文献

分别对五磷酸盐非晶材料(ErP5O14)在979.3,803.8,521.8,450.0,405.5和378.5nm等光激发下所有能级的动力学过程在改进能量传递理论前后进行了数值模拟比较。结果发现,应用改进后的能量传递速率进行计算模拟的结果才是合理的,其中在521.8,450.0和378.5nm光激发ErP5O14非晶时,4I 13/2→4I 15/2和4I 11/2→4I 15/2跃迁的相对荧光强度的比值分别是979.3nm光激发的2.11倍,2.82倍和2.99倍,均存在有效的4I 13/2→4I 15/2跃迁的红外量子剪裁效应。该研究对于提高锗太阳能电池的转换效率具有潜在的应用前景。  相似文献

设计了一款基于共面波导馈电的小型化具有双陷波特性的超宽带天线,该天线的带宽在3~14 GHz内,电压驻波比(VSWR)小于2。在辐射贴片上通过开L型和半圆环缝隙实现了在3.3~3.7 GHz和5.150~5.825 GHz的双频段的陷波特性,抑制了802.16无线城域网和无线局域网对超宽带系统的干扰,在整个工作频段具有稳定的增益和良好的全向性。通过对天线模型进行加工制作并测量,测试结果表明:天线的带宽是3~14 GHz,在3.3~3.7 GHz和5.15~5.825 GHz频段内VSWR大于4,实现了天线的双陷波特性。该天线尺寸小、结构紧凑的特点,适合现代的无线通信系统。  相似文献

分析了用于纳秒脉冲电流测量的微分环标定难点,提出微分环现场标定方法。通过脉冲形成线脉冲充电以解决微分环标定中信噪比较低、可信度较差等问题;分析了脉冲形成线充电时间、充电电压及脉冲形成开关击穿电压等回路参数对标定结果的影响。基于闪光二号加速器,对测量二极管电流的微分环进行了现场标定,前级隔离开关平均击穿电压为25 kV时,微分环标定回路电流达到1.3 kA,微分环灵敏度为9.311010,方差为0.151010。  相似文献

基于内置电光晶体的F-P标准具,利用F-P多光束干涉原理和晶体的线性电光效应,提出了一种能有效提高啁啾脉冲信噪比的扫描滤波方法。给出了电光晶体加载电压的时变函数表达式,分析了影响信噪比提升效果的主要因素,并重点讨论了电光晶体的电压控制参数对信噪比提升效果和滤波器透过率的影响。研究结果表明,利用该扫描滤波方法可将啁啾脉冲激光信噪比提升约2个量级。  相似文献
