Tetragonal tungsten bronze (TTB) films have been synthesised on Pt(111)/TiO2/SiO2/Si substrates from Ba2LnFeNb4O15 ceramics (Ln = La, Nd, Eu) by RF magnetron sputtering. X-ray diffraction measurements evidenced the multi-oriented nature of films with some degrees of preferential orientation along (111). The dependence of the dielectric properties on temperature and frequency has been investigated. The dielectric properties of the films are similar to those of the bulk, i.e., ε ∼150 and σ ∼10−6 Ω−1 cm−1 at 1 MHz and room temperature. The films exhibit two dielectric anomalies which are attributed to Maxwell Wagner polarization mechanism and relaxor behaviour. Both anomalies are sensitive to post-annealing under oxygen atmosphere and their activation energies are similar Ea ∼0.30 eV. They are explained in terms of electrically heterogeneous contributions in the films. 相似文献

Perfluorocarbon monomers such as C2F4, C2F6, C4F10, and mixtures thereof with H2, were subjected to plasma polymerization and deposited onto low-density polyethylene (LDPE) substrates. The effect of plasma conditions, surface characteristics, and surface dynamics of plasma polymers on their ability to improve the resistance to water vapor permeation was investigated. An optimum discharge energy density was found for a monomer which provided the greatest reduction water vapor permeability. Although all of the plasma polymers show higher hydrophobicity than polyethylene, the reduction in water vapor permeability is not uniquely related to water contact angle. The surface-dynamic stability of a plasma polymer surface was found to be the key factor in determining the barrier performance of the plasma polymer. The extent of change of surface-configuration after water immersion strongly correlated with the improvement in the water vapor permeation resistance. Plasma polymers with the higher surface-dynamic stability provided the better water barrier coating applied on LDPE films. © 1996 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. 相似文献

Using density functional theory combined with a global crystal structure search with the particle swarm optimization method, we propose three stable three-dimensional (3D) metallic RhP structures, namely, the Cmcm (RhP-I), P6/mmm (RhP-II), and P63mc (RhP-III) phases. All these structures are found to be dynamically stable through vibrational normal mode calculations, indicating that they could be successfully synthesized in experiments. We show that the RhP-I phase has a relatively high thermodynamic stability and high mechanical strength in comparison with the others. The RhP-II and RhP-III phases have porous structures which could accommodate small atoms or molecules. However their thermodynamics are poor, especially the RhP-III phase. The RhP-II structure is stable at 500 K, but the RhP-III fails to survive even at the freezing point of water. Importantly, all these materials have one dimensional conducting channels corresponding to ultrahigh Fermi velocities. Moreover, the porous hexagonal RhP-II and III structures exhibit excellent ability to trap lithium, hydrogen, oxygen, and boron atoms. The RhP-II structure could be especially useful for directly dissociating the hydrogen molecule into two atoms without an energy barrier. TiO2 decorated with partially crystallized Pd nanoparticles (Pd/TiO2-P) was successfully prepared by atmospheric-pressure dielectric barrier discharge cold plasma. The XRD and XPS analyses proved that Pd ions were reduced to partially crystallized metallic Pd nanoparticles in Pd/TiO2-P. The XPS spectra also indicated that an enhanced metal-support interaction was formed due to the existence of partially crystallized Pd nanoparticles with lower coordination number in Pd/TiO2-P. Photocatalytic activity of Pd/TiO2-P was much higher than that of TiO2 samples decorated with well crystallized Pd nanoparticles. 相似文献

The effect of oxygen plasma treatment on the performance of GaN Schottky barrier diodes is studied. The GaN surface is intentionally exposed to oxygen plasma generated in an inductively coupled plasma etching system before Schottky metal deposition. The reverse leakage current of the treated diodes is suppressed in low bias range with enhanced diode ideality factor and series resistance. However, in high bias range the treated diodes exhibit higher reverse leakage current and corresponding lower breakdown voltage. The X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy analysis reveals the growth of a thin GaOx layer on GaN surface during oxygen plasma treatment. Under sub-bandgap light illumination, the plasma-treated diodes show larger photovoltaic response compared with that of untreated diodes, suggesting that additional defect states at GaN surface are induced by the oxygen plasma treatment. 相似文献

A density-functional theory method has been conducted to investigate the adsorption of CHx (x = 0-4) as well as the dissociation of CHx (x = 1-4) on (1 1 1) facets of ordered NiCo alloy. The results have been compared with those obtained on pure Ni (1 1 1) surface. It shows that the adsorption energies of C and CH are decreased while it is increased for CH3 on NiCo (1 1 1) compared to those on pure Ni (1 1 1). Furthermore, on NiCo (1 1 1), dissociation of CHx prefers not to the top of Ni, but to the top of Co. The rate-determining step for CH4 dissociation is considered as the first step of dehydrogenation on NiCo (1 1 1), while it is the fourth step of dehydrogenation on Ni (1 1 1). Furthermore, the activation barrier in rate-determining step is slightly higher by 0.07 eV on Ni (1 1 1) than that on NiCo (1 1 1). From above results, it is important to point out that carbon is easy to form on NiCo (1 1 1) although the adsorption energy of C atom is slightly decreased compared to that on Ni (1 1 1). 相似文献

In IgM paraproteinemia and peripheral neuropathy, IgM M-protein secretion by B cells leads to a T helper cell response, suggesting that it is antibody-mediated autoimmune disease involving carbohydrate epitopes in myelin sheaths. An immune response against sulfoglucuronosyl glycosphingolipids (SGGLs) is presumed to participate in demyelination or axonal degeneration in the peripheral nervous system (PNS). SGGLs contain a 3-sulfoglucuronic acid residue that interacts with anti-myelin-associated glycoprotein (MAG) and the monoclonal antibody anti-HNK-1. Immunization of animals with sulfoglucuronosyl paragloboside (SGPG) induced anti-SGPG antibodies and sensory neuropathy, which closely resembles the human disease. These animal models might help to understand the disease mechanism and lead to more specific therapeutic strategies. In an in vitro study, destruction or malfunction of the blood-nerve barrier (BNB) was found, resulting in the leakage of circulating antibodies into the PNS parenchyma, which may be considered as the initial key step for development of disease. 相似文献

In this work we investigate a generalized tunneling barrier for planar emitters at zero-temperature. We present the evidence of the emergence of a non-Fowler-Nordheim-type general behavior for the field emission current density in the case that the Fermi energy (μ) is comparable with or smaller that the decay width (). Therefore, for some non-metals or materials that have very small Fermi energy the standard Fowler-Nordheim-type theory may require a correction. In the opposite regime, i.e., for μ much larger that , we confirm that the conventional theory is suitable for metals. 相似文献

Abstract Dielectric barrier discharge is a nonequilibrium plasma, and its industrial application has been on a large scale. Similarly, its prominent features of high dissociation ability at low working temperature and low power consumption, simple and adjustable configuration, ambient working conditions, and long lifetime are favorable for developing a wide array of analytical devices as well.
