The current study addresses the mathematical modeling aspects of coupled conductive and radiative heat transfer in the presence of absorbing, emitting and isotropic scattering gray medium within two-dimensional square enclosure. A blended method where the concepts of modified differential approximation employed by combining discrete ordinate method and spherical harmonics method, has been developed for modeling the radiative transport equation. The gray participating medium is bounded by isothermal walls of two-dimensional enclosure which are considered to be opaque, diffuse and gray. The effect of various influencing parameters i.e., radiation-conduction parameter, surface emissivity, single scattering albedo and optical thickness has been illustrated. The adaptability of the present method has also been addressed.  相似文献

In this paper, we present a unified finite volume method preserving discrete maximum principle (DMP) for the conjugate heat transfer problems with general interface conditions. We prove the existence of the numerical solution and the DMP-preserving property. Numerical experiments show that the nonlinear iteration numbers of the scheme in [24] increase rapidly when the interfacial coefficients decrease to zero. In contrast, the nonlinear iteration numbers of the unified scheme do not increase when the interfacial coefficients decrease to zero, which reveals that the unified scheme is more robust than the scheme in [24]. The accuracy and DMP-preserving property of the scheme are also veried in the numerical experiments.  相似文献

We examine - both experimentally and numerically - a two-dimensional nonlinear driven electrical lattice with honeycomb structure. Drives are considered over a range of frequencies both outside (below and above) and inside the band of linear modes. We identify a number of discrete breathers both existing in the bulk and also (predominantly) ones arising at the domain boundaries, localized either along the arm-chair or along the zig-zag edges. The types of edge-localized breathers observed and computed emerge in distinct frequency bands near the Dirac-point frequency of the dispersion surface while driving the lattice subharmonically (in a spatially homogeneous manner). These observations/computations can represent a starting point towards the exploration of the interplay of nonlinearity and topology in an experimentally tractable system such as the honeycomb electrical lattice.  相似文献

In the present work, we propose a new set of coherent structures that arise in nonlinear dynamical lattices with more than one component, namely interlaced solitons. In the anti-continuum limit of uncoupled sites, these are waveforms whose one component has support where the other component does not. We illustrate systematically how one can combine dynamically stable unary patterns to create stable ones for the binary case of two-components. For the one-dimensional setting, we provide a detailed theoretical analysis of the existence and stability of these waveforms, while in higher dimensions, where such analytical computations are far more involved, we resort to corresponding numerical computations. Lastly, we perform direct numerical simulations to showcase how these structures break up, when they are exponentially or oscillatorily unstable, to structures with a smaller number of participating sites.  相似文献

We revisit recent results on integrable cases for higher-dimensional generalizations of the 2D pentagram map: short-diagonal, dented, deep-dented, and corrugated versions, and define a universal class of pentagram maps, which are proved to possess projective duality. We show that in many cases the pentagram map cannot be included into integrable flows as a time-one map, and discuss how the corresponding notion of discrete integrability can be extended to include jumps between invariant tori. We also present a numerical evidence that certain generalizations of the integrable 2D pentagram map are non-integrable and present a conjecture for a necessary condition of their discrete integrability.  相似文献

In this paper, we proposed an unidimensional continuous-variable quantum key distribution (CV-QKD) protocol with discrete modulation, which waives the necessity in one of the quadrature modulations and further simplified the implementation of the CV-QKD protocol. On the basis of the Heisenberg uncertainty relation, we analyze the boundary between the unphysical and physical region. Besides, we utilize a novel proof approach to achieve a lower bound valid of transmission distance. This scheme shows an available method to further simplified the implementation of the QKD.  相似文献

On the basis of the discrete ordinate scheme with (an) infinitely small weight(s), an easy-to-use and comprehensive method, named multi-rays method, is developed to calculate total, direct and medium intensities in arbitrarily specified directions. In doing this, for each of the specified directions, three identical discrete directions with infinitely small weights are employed to represent the three intensities. The new method is verified with two standard test problems, and is used to compute the intensities in two anisotropically scattering problems.  相似文献

In this work, properties of a magnetorheological (MR) fluid, prepared by dispersing a mixture of two types of carbonyl iron powders (CIPs) of different sizes, in an ionic liquid (N,N-diethyl-N-methyl-N-(2-methoxyethyl) ammonium tetrafluoroborate) that is stable from 9 °C to ca. 300 °C, have been investigated. At first, the random packing density of the mixture was computed as function of mixing ratio of CIP, in order to find out the tendency of the variation. Next, several mixtures, all having the same weight, were prepared at various mixing ratios and dispersed in the ionic liquid, in order to experimentally find the most suitable mixing ratio of CIP. Then, the magnetic clusters of the synthesized MR fluids were observed by using a digital microscope equipped with two permanent magnets, whereas the MR properties were investigated by using a rotation viscometer equipped with a solenoid coil. The experimental results pointed out that the MR fluid with 60 wt% fraction of large particles exhibited the highest MR response.  相似文献

In this paper we obtain the discrete integrable self-dual network hierarchy associated with a discrete spectral problem. On the basis of the theory of algebraic curves, the continuous flow and discrete flow related to the discrete self-dual network hierarchy are straightened using the Abel-Jacobi coordinates. The meromorphic function and the Baker-Akhiezer function are introduced on the hyperelliptic curve. Quasi-periodic solutions of the discrete self-dual network hierarchy are constructed with the help of the asymptotic properties and the algebra-geometric characters of the meromorphic function, the Baker-Akhiezer function and the hyperelliptic curve.  相似文献
