Voltammetric Study and Direct Analytical Determination of the Antiparkinson Drug Benserazide

For the first time, a simple differential pulse voltammetry methodology for direct determination of benserazide in presence of levodopa in tablets was developed without any redox mediator, modified electrodes, or the aplication of mathematic deconvolution of signals. Benserazide was studied by differential pulse voltammetry using glassy carbon electrode in aqueous media. The drug exhibited a main well-defined oxidation signal in a broad pH range (2–10), and two poorly resolved signals at higher potentials. We have found that levodopa does not interfere on the electrochemical response of benserazide at pH 6.0. Thus, at this pH value, the developed analytical method exhibited adequate repeatability and reproducibility (RSD < 2%), recoveries >98.5%, which permitted its successful application to both the assay and the uniformity content of benserazide. Also, hydrolytic degradation studies of benserazide were carried out by differential pulse voltammetry.     

Counting master integrals: Integration by parts vs. differential reduction

The techniques of integration by parts and differential reduction differ in the counting of master integrals. This is illustrated using as an example the two-loop sunset diagram with on-shell kinematics. A new algebraic relation between the master integrals of the two-loop sunset diagram that does not follow from the standard integration-by-parts technique is found.     

Electrochemical Recognition of Chiral Molecules with Poly(4‐bromoaniline) Modified Gold Electrode

A poly(4‐bromoaniline) (PBA) film is electrochemically synthesized on a gold electrode for the recognition of amino acids enantiomers. Scanning electron microscopy measurements show that the porous PBA films are made up of nano‐ribbons. At the PBA modified Au electrode differential pulse voltammograms of L ‐ and D ‐glutamic acids not only have very different current densities, but also produce different waveforms, providing an intuitive way to differentiate the two chiral molecules. Similar results are obtained in analyzing L ‐ and D ‐aspartic acids. Control experiments suggest that the observed sensing behavior arises from synergistic interactions between Au and the PBA film, where polymerization at the meta‐position creates a steric structure needed for differentiating chiral molecules.     

A Lagrangian for Hamiltonian vector fields on singular Poisson manifolds

On a manifold equipped with a bivector field, we introduce for every Hamiltonian a Lagrangian on paths valued in the cotangent space whose stationary points project onto Hamiltonian vector fields. We show that the remaining components of those stationary points tell whether the bivector field is Poisson or at least defines an integrable distribution—a class of bivector fields generalizing twisted Poisson structures that we study in detail.     

基于多模差分融合的高速车辆定位算法

针对车辆高速运动下定位延时大、精度低、稳定性差的问题,发挥GPS、RSSI和INS三种定位模式的各自优势,将GPS差分校准算法与RSSI测距相结合求解横坐标,将RSSI测距与INS惯导迭代算法相结合求解纵坐标,提出了一种适合高速运动车辆的多模差分融合精确定位算法。以四车道的高速路为场景进行了仿真实验,当车速为70km/h时,跟踪误差<1m,定位延时<0.2s。实验结果表明,该算法可实现车身级和车道级定位,在精确交通诱导、车辆防撞等智能交通领域具有应用前景和推广价值。     

Exact solutions to a class of differential equation and some new mathematical properties for the universal associated-Legendre polynomials

The exact solutions to a class of differential equation are studied. Some special cases are discussed for the central potentials, single ring-shaped potential and the angular Teukolsky equation. A new expression to the associated Legendre polynomials is found. Some new properties of the universal associated-Legendre polynomials (UALPs) including the generating function, Rodrigues’ formula, parity, some special values and the recurrence relations are presented. A new different Rodrigues’ formula of associated Legendre polynomials is also obtained.     

Application of Novel Zn‐Ferrite Modified Glassy Carbon Paste Electrode as a Sensor for Determination of Cd(II) in Waste Water

This paper describes the preparation of a new sensor based on Zn‐ferrite modified glassy carbon paste electrode and its electrochemical application for the determination of trace Cd(II) ions in waste waters using differential pulse anodic stripping voltammetry (DPASV). Different Zn/Ni ferrite nanoparticles were synthesized and characterized using scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and X‐ray powder diffraction (XRPD). The prepared ferrite nanoparticles were used for the preparation of Zn‐ferrite‐modified glassy carbon paste electrode (ZnMGCPE) for determination of Cd(II) at nanomolar levels in waste water at pH 5. The different parameters such as conditions of preparation, Zn²⁺/Ni²⁺/Fe²⁺ ratio and electrochemical parameters, percentage of modifier, accumulation time, pH and accumulation potential were investigated. Besides, interference measurements were also evaluated under optimized parameters. The best voltammetric response was observed for ZnFe₂O₄ modifier, when the percentage of modifier was 3 %, accumulation time 9 min, pH of supporting electrolyte 5 and accumulation potential ?1.05 V. Thus prepared electrode displays excellent response to Cd(II) with a detection limit of 0.38 ppb, and selective detection toward Cd(II) was achieved.     

Mycotoxins: Simultaneous Detection of Zearalenone and Citrinin by Voltammetry on Edge Plane Pyrolytic Graphite Electrode

Mycotoxins are highly toxic compounds often found in the food. It is of paramount importance to have analytical technique for point‐of‐care on‐spot detection for authorised personnel to immediately take the action required. Electrochemistry offers the portability for miniaturized sensor of mycotoxins. Here we show that edge‐plane pyrolytic electrode offers excellent selectivity and sensitivity towards simultaneous detection of zearalenone and citrinin. This will have a great impact for point‐of‐care mycotoxin detection.
