The purpose of this paper is to study some properties of solutions to one-dimensional as well as multidimensional stochastic differential equations (SDEs in short) with super-linear growth and non-Lipschitz conditions on the coefficients. Bahlali, E. H. Essaky, and H. Hassani, p-Integrable solutions to multidimensional BSDEs and degenerate systems of PDEs with logarithmic nonlinearities, (2010). Available at arXiv:1007.2388v1 [math.PR]], we introduce a new local condition which ensures the pathwise uniqueness, as well as the non-contact property. We moreover show that the solution produces a stochastic flow of continuous maps and satisfies a large deviations principle of Freidlin–Wentzell type. Our conditions on the coefficients go beyond the existing ones in the literature. For instance, the coefficients are not assumed uniformly continuous and therefore cannot satisfy the classical Osgood condition. The drift coefficient could not be locally monotone and the diffusion is neither locally Lipschitz nor uniformly elliptic. Our conditions on the coefficients are, in some sense, near the best possible. Our results are sharp and mainly based on Gronwall lemma and the localization of the time parameter in concatenated intervals.  相似文献

We show that if uku# in L1(Ω), then u# is a solution of (E) relative to some finite measure μ#. We call μ# the reduced limit of (μk). This reduced limit has the remarkable property that it does not depend on the boundary data, but only on (μk) and on g. For power nonlinearities g(t)=|t|q−1t, ∀tR, we show that if (μk) is nonnegative and bounded in W−2,q(Ω), then μ and μ# are absolutely continuous with respect to each other; we then produce an example where μ#≠μ.  相似文献

In 1984, Stein and his co-authors posed a problem concerning simple three-dimensional shapes, known as semicrosses, or tripods. By definition, a tripod of order n is formed by a corner and the three adjacent edges of an integer n×n×n cube. How densely can one fill the space with non-overlapping tripods of a given order? In particular, is it possible to fill a constant fraction of the space as tripod order tends to infinity? In this paper, we settle the second question in the negative: the fraction of the space that can be filled with tripods must be infinitely small as the order grows. We also make a step towards the solution of the first question, by improving the currently known asymptotic lower bound on tripod packing density, and by presenting some computational results on low-order packings.  相似文献

In this paper, we find by inverse technique two solutions of a system of linear equations which together serve as a sufficient and necessary condition for well-poised Bailey chains. Using these two solutions, we establish a new well-poised Bailey chain, two usual Bailey chains, and a well-poised extension of Bailey’s lemma. Their applications to q-series are also investigated. Neyman-Pearson(NP) criterion is one of the most important ways in hypothesis testing. It is also a criterion for classification. This paper addresses the problem of bounding the estimation error of NP classification, in terms of Rademacher averages. We investigate the behavior of the global and local Rademacher averages, and present new NP classification error bounds which are based on the localized averages, and indicate how the estimation error can be estimated without a priori knowledge of the class at hand.  相似文献
