The new soliton solutions for the variable-coefficient Boussinesq system, whose applications are seen in fluid dynamics, are studied in this paper with symbolic computation. First, the Painleve analysis is used to investigate its integrability properties. For the identified case we give, the Lax pair of the system is found, and then the Darboux transformation is constructed. At last, some new soliton solutions are presented via the Darboux method. We investigate the Painleve integrabiiity of nonautonomous nonlinear Schr6dinger (NLS) equations with both space-and time-dependent dispersion, nonlinearity, and external potentials. The Painleve analysis is carried out without using the Kruskal's simplification, which results in more generalized form of inhomogeneous equations. The obtained equations are shown to be reducible to the standard NLS equation by using a point transformation. We also construct the corresponding Lax pair and carry out its Kundu-type reduction to the standard Lax pair. In this paper, we present a method of higher-order analysis on bifurcation of small limit cycles around an elementary center of integrable systems under perturbations. This method is equivalent to higher-order Melinikov function approach used for studying bifurcation of limit cycles around a center but simpler. Attention is focused on planar cubic polynomial systems and particularly it is shown that the system studied by ?o?a?dek (1995) [24] can indeed have eleven limit cycles under perturbations at least up to 7th order. Moreover, the pattern of numbers of limit cycles produced near the center is discussed up to 39th-order perturbations, and no more than eleven limit cycles are found. 相似文献
