Korteweg-de Vries (KdV)-type equations can describe some physical phenomena in fluids, nonlinear optics, quantum mechanics, plasmas, etc. In this paper, with the aid of symbolic computation, the integrable sixth-order KdV equation is investigated. Darboux transformation (DT) with an arbitrary parameter is presented. Explicit solutions are derived with the DT. Relevant properties are graphically illustrated, which might be helpful to understand some physical processes in fluids, plasmas, optics and quantum mechanics. 相似文献

Existence of amplitude independent frequencies of oscillation is an unusual property for a nonlinear oscillator. We find that a class of N coupled nonlinear Liénard type oscillators exhibit this interesting property. We show that a specific subset can be explicitly solved from which we demonstrate the existence of periodic and quasiperiodic solutions. Another set of N coupled nonlinear oscillators, possessing the amplitude independent nature of frequencies, is almost integrable in the sense that the system can be reduced to a single nonautonomous first order scalar differential equation which can be easily integrated numerically. 相似文献

Starting from a known Lax pair, one can get some infinitely many coupled Lax pairs.In this letter, we take the well-known KdV equation as a typical example. Using infinitely many symmetries, the infinitely many inhomogeneous linear Lax pairs of KdV equation can be obtained. In this paper, we study an integrable generalization of the associated Camassa–Holm equation. The generalized system is shown to be integrable in the sense of Lax pair and the bilinear Bäcklund transformations are presented through the Bell polynomial technique. Meanwhile, its infinite conservation laws are constructed, and conserved densities and fluxes are given in explicit recursion formulas. Furthermore, a Darboux transformation for the system is derived with the help of the gauge transformation between two Lax pairs. This is a pedagogical review on ■ deformation of two dimensional quantum field theories. It is based on three lectures which the author gave at ITP-CAS in December 2018. This review consists of four parts. The first part is a general introduction to ■ deformation. Special emphasises are put on the deformed classical Lagrangian and the exact solvability of the spectrum. The second part focuses on the torus partition sum of the ■ deformed conformal field theories and modular invariance/covariance. In the third part, different perspectives of ■ deformation are presented, including its relation to random geometry, 2D topological gravity and holography. We consider classical billiards in plane, connected, but not necessarily bounded domains. The charged billiard ball is immersed in a homogeneous, stationary magnetic field perpendicular to the plane. The part of dynamics which is not trivially integrable can be described by a bouncing map. We compute a general expression for the Jacobian matrix of this map, which allows us to determine stability and bifurcation values of specific periodic orbits. In some cases, the bouncing map is a twist map and admits a generating function. We give a general form for this function which is useful to do perturbative calculations and to classify periodic orbits. We prove that billiards in convex domains with sufficiently smooth boundaries possess invariant tori corresponding to skipping trajectories. Moreover, in strong field we construct adiabatic invariants over exponentially large times. To some extent, these results remain true for a class of nonconvex billiards. On the other hand, we present evidence that the billiard in a square is ergodic for some large enough values of the magnetic field. A numerical study reveals that the scattering on two circles is essentially chaotic. 相似文献

We investigated the soliton solution for N coupled nonlinear Schrödinger (CNLS) equations. These equations are coupled due to the cross-phase-modulation (CPM). Lax pair of this system is obtained via the Ablowitz–Kaup–Newell–Segur (AKNS) scheme and the corresponding Darboux transformation is constructed to derive the soliton solution. One and two soliton solutions are generated. Using two soliton solutions of 3 CNLS equation, nonlinear tunneling of soliton for both with and without exponential background has been discussed. Finally cascade compression of optical soliton through multi-nonlinear barrier has been discussed. The obtained results may have promising applications in all-optical devices based on optical solitons, study of soliton propagation in birefringence fiber systems and optical soliton with distributed dispersion and nonlinearity management. 相似文献
