We show that a hyperbolic chaos can be observed in resonantly coupled oscillators near a Hopf bifurcation, described by normal-form-type equations for complex amplitudes. The simplest example consists of four oscillators, comprising two alternatively activated, due to an external periodic modulation, pairs. In terms of the stroboscopic Poincaré map, the phase differences change according to an expanding Bernoulli map that depends on the coupling type. Several examples of hyperbolic chaos for different types of coupling are illustrated numerically. 相似文献

The Milburn dynamics of three non resonant ultra-strongly coupled oscillators are resolved by using symplectic geometry. The Milburn dynamics of virtual excitations and how they affect the pairwise entanglement are looked at. It is found that the dynamics of excitations and entanglement experience similar profiles against time, physical parameters, and decoherence rate. Furthermore, it is shown that the extinction of excitations entails separability, which demonstrates the hierarchy between entanglement and virtual excitations. Additionally, the effects of physical parameters on the redistribution of virtual excitations among the three bi-partitions are analyzed. As a result, the violation of the monogamy of excitations is shown as in quantum discord. This implies that excitations can be considered as signatures of quantum correlations beyond entanglement. Besides, it is emphasized that the treatment can be used to model coupled quantum circuits in real situations (with decoherence). 相似文献

The dynamics of bistable oscillators driven by periodic dichotomous noise is described. The stochastic differential equation governing the flow implies smooth trajectories between noise switching events. The dynamics of the two-branched map induced by this flow is a Markov process. Harmonic and quartic models of the bistable potential are studied in the overdamped limit. In the linear (harmonic) case the dynamics can be reduced to a stochastic one-dimensional map with two branches. The moments decay exponentially in this case, although the invariant measure may be multifractal. For strong damping, relaxation induces a cascade leading to a Cantor set and anomalous decay of the density in this case is modeled by a Markov chain. For the physically more realistic case of a quartic potential many additional features arise since the contraction factor is distance dependent. By tuning the barrier-height parameter in the quartic potential, noise-induced transition rates with the characteristics of intermittency are found. 相似文献

The bifurcation threshojds for the antiphase states of coupled van der Pol oscillators and the unstable modes of these systems at the bifurcation points are explicitly compu ted. By using example of nonlinear dynamics of a pair of coupled gears, the phenomenon of appearance and disappearance of a trigger of coupled singularities and homoclinic orbits in the form of number eight in the phase portrait in the phase plane is investigated. That phenomenon is an accompanying phenomenon of loss of stability of the local unique equilibrium position. For a generalized case under certain conditions, a theorem of the appearance of a trigger of coupled singularities in a nonlinear dynamical conservative system, the first derivative of the system potential energy which is a product of two periodic functions with different periods, and one bifurcation parameter, which is the cause for the appearance of new roots of these two functions, is defined. 相似文献

The phenomenon of the chaotic boundary crisis and the related concept of the chaotic destroyer saddle has become recently a new problem in the studies of the destruction of chaotic attractors in nonlinear oscillators. As it is known, in the case of regular boundary crisis, the homoclinic bifurcation of the destroyer saddle defines the parameters of the annihilation of the chaotic attractor. In contrast, at the chaotic boundary crisis, the outset of the destroyer saddle which branches away from the chaotic attractor is tangled prior to the crisis. In our paper, the main point of interest is the problem of a relation, if any, between the homoclinic tangling of the destroyer saddle and the other properties of the system which may accompany the chaotic as well as the regular boundary crisis. In particular, the question if the phenomena of fractal basin boundary, indeterminate outcome, and a period of the destroyer saddle, are directly implied by the structure of the destroyer saddle invariant manifolds, is examined for some examples of the boundary crisis that occur in the mathematical models of the twin-well and the single-well potential nonlinear oscillators. 相似文献

对于一类同时存在扩散耦合和梯度耦合的非线性振子系统, 通过空间傅里叶变换,得到具有不同波矢的各运动模式的相互独立的运动方程. 计算各横截模的Lyapunov指数, 可在耦合参数平面上确定同步混沌的稳定区域. 在稳定区域边界, 一对共轭横截模式失稳,导致同步混沌的Hopf分岔. 对耦合Lorenz振子系统进行了数值模拟,并设计了耦合Lorenz振子系统的电路, 进行耦合振子系统同步混沌Hopf分岔的电路仿真实验. 计算和仿真的结果表明,Hopf分岔的特征频率等于失稳横截模式的振荡频率.

The mean spherical approximation (MSA) has proved to be a very general and flexible method to analyze equilibrium statistical mechanical systems. In this note we test its accuracy against a simple one-dimensional model, i.e., a lattice gas of polarizable molecules where the internal degree of freedom is treated as quantized harmonic oscillators which interact via harmonic forces. This model can be solved exactly. We find a very good agreement between the MSA and exact solutions.2 The corresponding classical problem of polarizable particles was first solved in a mean spherical approximation (MSA) by M. Wertheim [J. Chem. Phys. 26:1425 (1973)]. He considered the model with nonfluctuating dipole moments. Later L. Pratt [Mol. Phys. 40:347 (1980)] and J. S. Høye and G. Stell [J. Chem. Phys. 73:461 (1980)] solved the corresponding classical problem in the MSA for particles with fluctuating dipole moments. 相似文献
