One way to solve the parametric quadratic programming problem

A method is presented for the solution of the parametric quadratic programming problem by the use of conjugate directions. It is based on the method for quadratic programming proposed by the author in [1].While engaged in this research the author had a part-time post with the Manpower Services Commission.     

Design of Cylindrical Conformal Millimeter-Wave Microstrip Antennas with Broad Beamwidth

This paper describes the design of a novel cylindrical millimeter-wave microstrip antenna (MA) with broad beamwidth by means of isotropic transformation (IT). A planar millimeter-wave antenna with broad beamwidth is designed first, and then IT is used to design a conformal one based on the planar structure. In addition, phased array with eight present elements has been designed as an example. Finally, numerical results are given to show that the present antenna possesses broad beamwidth and its array is of large scanning angle, which also verify the validity of the method of IT.

We characterize the extremal digraphs which attain the maximum Perron root of digraphs with given arc connectivity and number of vertices. We also characterize the extremal digraphs which attain the maximum Perron root of digraphs given diameter and number of vertices.     

Additive Maps Preserving Moore–Penrose Inverses of Matrices on Symmetric Matrix Spaces

Suppose F is a field of characteristic not 2. Let M_n F and S_n F be the n × n full matrix space and symmetric matrix space over F, respectively. All additive maps from S_n F to S_n F (respectively, M_n F) preserving Moore–Penrose inverses of matrices are characterized. We first characterize all additive Moore–Penrose inverse preserving maps from S_n F to M_n F, and thereby, all additive Moore–Penrose inverse preserving maps from S_n F to itself are characterized by restricting the range of these additive maps into the symmetric matrix space.     

On Characteristic Modules of Graded Quasi-hereditary Algebras

Abstract

Let G be a group and A a G-graded quasi-hereditary algebra. Then its characteristic module is proved to be G-gradable, i.e., it is isomorphic to a G-graded module as A-modules. This implies that the Ringel dual A′ of A admits a canonical G-grading which extends to the graded situation the typical equivalence between Δ-good and ?-good modules of A and A′, respectively. It follows some consequences: the derived category of finitely generated G-graded A-modules is equivalent to the derived category of finitely generated G-graded A'-modules; if G is finite, then the Ringel dual of the smash product A#G* is isomorphic to the smash product A'#G* of A' with G.
