ON THE EQUATION □φ = |vφ|2 IN FOUR SPACE DIMENSIONS

This paper considers the following Cauchy problem for semilinear wave equations in n spacedimensions□φ = F( φ),φ(0, x) = f(x), tφ(0, x) = g(x),The minimal value of s is determined such that the above Cauchy problem is locally well-posed in Hs. It turns out that for the general equation s must satisfyThis is due to Ponce and Sideris (when n = 3) and Tataru (when n ≥ 5). The purpose of thispaper is to supplement with a proof in the case n = 2, 4.     

Mathematical and numerical analysis of a simplified time-dependent viscoelastic flow

A time-dependent model corresponding to an Oldroyd-B viscoelastic fluid is considered, the convective terms being disregarded. Global existence in time is proved in Banach spaces provided the data are small enough, using the implicit function theorem and a maximum regularity property for a three fields Stokes problem. A finite element discretization in space is then proposed. Existence of the numerical solution is proved for small data, so as a priori error estimates, using again an implicit function theorem. Hyers-Ulam-Rassias stability of homomorphisms in quasi-Banach algebras associated to the Pexiderized Cauchy functional equation

In this paper, we prove the Hyers-Ulam-Rassias stability of homomorphisms in quasi-Banach algebras associated to the Pexiderized Cauchy functional equation. This is applied to investigate homomorphisms between quasi-Banach algebras. The concept of Hyers-Ulam-Rassias stability originated from Th.M. Rassias' stability theorem that appeared in his paper [Th.M. Rassias, On the stability of the linear mapping in Banach spaces, Proc. Amer. Math. Soc. 72 (1978) 297-300].     

Cauchy problem in the class of monotone increasing functions

The paper establishes some solvability conditions of the Cauchy problem for linear differential equation in the class of monotone increasing functions. The results are applied for clarifying the possibility of flight along a given trajectory under existence of braking forces.

单循环赛赛程安排的一个图论方法

利用图论的边着色理论建立了一个赛程安排的数学模型 .首先建立 n支球队与完全图 Kn的 n个顶点间的一一对应 ,把球队 Ai和 Aj间的比赛关系抽象成 Kn的顶点 i和 j间的边 ( i,j) .然后分别构造出了图K2 m- 1和 K2 m的正常 2 m-1边着色 .从而给出了各球队每两场比赛间得到的休整时间最均等 ,休整的间隔场次数达到上限值 n2 的一个赛程安排方案     

Blow Up of Solutions to Semilinear Wave Equations with Critical Exponent in High Dimensions

In this paper, the author considers the Cauchy problem for semilinear wave equations with critical exponent in n≥4 space dimensions. Under some positivity conditions on the initial data, it is proved that there can be no global solutions no matter how small the initial data are.

??In this paper, by applying the moment inequality for asymptotically almost negatively associated (AANA, in short) random sequence and truncated method, the equivalent conditions of complete moment convergence of the maximum partial for weighted sums of AANA random variables are obtained without assumptions of identical distribution, which generalize and improve the corresponding ones of{15},{16} and {17}, respectively.
