Yetter—Drinfel'd H-Azumaya Monoids in Closed Categories

When C is a symmetric closed category with equalizers and coequalizers and H is a Hopf algebra in C, the category of Yetter—Drinfeld H-modules is a braided monoidal category.We develop a categorical version of the results in (10) constructing a Brauer group BQ(C,H) and studying its functorial properties.

From triangulated categories to abelian categories: cluster tilting in a general framework

A general framework for cluster tilting is set up by showing that any quotient of a triangulated category modulo a tilting subcategory (i.e., a maximal 1-orthogonal subcategory) carries an induced abelian structure. These abelian quotients turn out to be module categories of Gorenstein algebras of dimension at most one.      

Spectra of Small Categories and Infinite Loop Space Machines

We show how to construct a categorical spectrum of small categories, and hence a cohomology theory, starting from a Γ-category. This extends Segal’s infinite loop space machine for topological spaces to small categories. Our results form a part of Bak’s program for delooping global actions, global categories, and related objects.     

Note on a theorem of Bousfield and Friedlander

We examine the proof of a classical localization theorem of Bousfield and Friedlander and we remove the assumption that the underlying model category be right proper. The key to the argument is a lemma about factoring in morphisms in the arrow category of a model category.     

Morita classes of algebras in modular tensor categories

We consider algebras in a modular tensor category C. If the trace pairing of an algebra A in C is non-degenerate we associate to A a commutative algebra Z(A), called the full centre, in a doubled version of the category C. We prove that two simple algebras with non-degenerate trace pairing are Morita-equivalent if and only if their full centres are isomorphic as algebras. This result has an interesting interpretation in two-dimensional rational conformal field theory; it implies that there cannot be several incompatible sets of boundary conditions for a given bulk theory.     

A semiorthogonal decomposition for Brauer–Severi schemes

A semiorthogonal decomposition for the bounded derived category of coherent sheaves on a Brauer–Severi scheme is given. It relies on bounded derived categories of suitably twisted coherent sheaves on the base (© 2009 WILEY-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim)     

K-Theory for Triangulated Categories 3 1/2 (A): A Detailed Proof of the Theorem of Homological Functors Dedicated to Daniel Quillen and to the Memory of Robert Thomason

Let A and B be Abelian categories. Let H: A B be a bounded -functor. We prove that H induces a natural map in higher K-theory. From a more precise analysis of the proof, we deduce that it is possible to define a K-theory of the bounded derived category of A, which contains Quillen's K-theory of A as a retract.
