Analytic models for commuting operator tuples on bounded symmetric domains

For a domain in and a Hilbert space of analytic functions on which satisfies certain conditions, we characterize the commuting -tuples of operators on a separable Hilbert space  such that is unitarily equivalent to the restriction of to an invariant subspace, where is the operator -tuple on the Hilbert space tensor product  . For the unit disc and the Hardy space , this reduces to a well-known theorem of Sz.-Nagy and Foias; for a reproducing kernel Hilbert space on such that the reciprocal of its reproducing kernel is a polynomial in and  , this is a recent result of Ambrozie, Müller and the second author. In this paper, we extend the latter result by treating spaces for which ceases to be a polynomial, or even has a pole: namely, the standard weighted Bergman spaces (or, rather, their analytic continuation) on a Cartan domain corresponding to the parameter in the continuous Wallach set, and reproducing kernel Hilbert spaces for which is a rational function. Further, we treat also the more general problem when the operator is replaced by ,  being a certain generalization of a unitary operator tuple. For the case of the spaces on Cartan domains, our results are based on an analysis of the homogeneous multiplication operators on , which seems to be of an independent interest.

     

Elements with generalized bounded conjugation orbits

For a pair of linear bounded operators and on a complex Banach space , if commutes with then the orbits of under are uniformly bounded. The study of the converse implication was started in the 1970s by J. A. Deddens. In this paper, we present a new approach to this type of question using two localization theorems; one is an operator version of a theorem of tauberian type given by Katznelson-Tzafriri and the second one is on power-bounded operators by Gelfand-Hille. This improves former results of Deddens-Stampfli-Williams.     

Extremal Solutions for Quasilinear Elliptic Inclusions in All of ℝN with State-Dependent Subdifferentials

This paper deals with quasilinear elliptic differential inclusions defined in all of ^N and governed in general by a nonpotential quasilinear elliptic operator of the Leray–Lions type and a multivalued term in form of a (nonmonotone) state-dependent subdifferential. We prove the existence of entire extremal solutions within a sector of an ordered pair of appropriately defined upper and lower solutions without imposing any condition at infinity. Therefore, standard variational methods cannot be applied here. Furthermore, due to the unboundedness of the domain and due to lack of monotonicity of the operators involved, no comparison results are available such that the problem under consideration becomes even more difficult.     

Forcing Linearity Numbers for Modules over PID's

Let V be a module over a principal ideal domain. Then V = M N where M is divisible and N has no nonzero divisible submodules. In this paper we determine the forcing linearity number for V when N is a direct sum of cyclic modules. As a consequence, the forcing linearity numbers of several classes of Abelian groups are obtained.     

Integral representation of linear functionals on spaces of unbounded functions

Let be a vector lattice of real functions on a set with , and let be a linear positive functional on . Conditions are given which imply the representation , , for some bounded charge . As an application, for any bounded charge on a field , the dual of is shown to be isometrically isomorphic to a suitable space of bounded charges on . In addition, it is proved that, under one more assumption on , is the integral with respect to a -additive bounded charge.

     

高压烧结法合成致密纳米BaTiO3陶瓷结构和铁电性能研究

 在6 GPa压力、1 000 ℃温度条件下制备了致密的纳米BaTiO₃陶瓷，合成样品的平均晶粒尺寸为50 nm，理论密度在97%以上。通过介电测量，观察到了样品宽化的相变峰，它与粗晶陶瓷的相变峰大不相同。由于90°电畴的减少和退极化场的存在，观察到了细长的电滞回线，它是样品铁电性存在的有力证据，表明钛酸钡陶瓷的临界尺寸在50 nm以下。     

Higher rank numerical ranges and low rank perturbations of quantum channels

For a positive integer k, the rank-k numerical range Λk(A) of an operator A acting on a Hilbert space H of dimension at least k is the set of scalars λ such that PAP=λP for some rank k orthogonal projection P. In this paper, a close connection between low rank perturbation of an operator A and Λk(A) is established. In particular, for 1?r<k it is shown that Λk(A)⊆Λk−r(A+F) for any operator F with rank(F)?r. In quantum computing, this result implies that a quantum channel with a k-dimensional error correcting code under a perturbation of rank at most r will still have a (k−r)-dimensional error correcting code. Moreover, it is shown that if A is normal or if the dimension of A is finite, then Λk(A) can be obtained as the intersection of Λk−r(A+F) for a collection of rank r operators F. Examples are given to show that the result fails if A is a general operator. The closure and the interior of the convex set Λk(A) are completely determined. Analogous results are obtained for Λ_∞(A) defined as the set of scalars λ such that PAP=λP for an infinite rank orthogonal projection P. It is shown that Λ_∞(A) is the intersection of all Λk(A) for k=1,2,…. If A−μI is not compact for all μ∈C, then the closure and the interior of Λ_∞(A) coincide with those of the essential numerical range of A. The situation for the special case when A−μI is compact for some μ∈C is also studied.

We obtain estimates and blow-up conditions for solutions of quasilinear elliptic inequalities containing terms with lower-order derivatives.     

The Lp - Lq Estimates for the Wave Equation with A nonnegative Potential

In this paper, some Fredholm properties of the Dirichlet problem for the Laplace operator in an exterior domain are given in weighted Hölder spaces. These results extend the corresponding approach in weighted L ^p -Sobolev spaces.
