Distributions of maximum likelihood estimators of Lorenz curve and Gini index of exponential distribution

Summary This paper presents the maximum likelihood estimators (MLEs) of the Lorenz curve and Gini index of the exponential distribution, their exact distributions and moments. All these MLEs are shown to converge almost surely and in therth mean. Further their asymptotic distributions are obtained. Here we use only very simple arguments to derive certain results that are very useful in statistical study of ‘inequality’.     

The political business cycle if the government is not myopic: An integration of the long-run and short-run models of the political business cycle

Using the framework of the Nordhaus model, a long-run and a short-run model of the political business cycle are integrated. It is shown that under general conditions the optimal policy for a vote-maximizing government will lead to the generation of a political business cycle, providing some dynamic tradeoff exists between politically relevant variables. If government and voters apply the same discount rate, the average unemployment rate will be higher — and conversely, the average inflation rate lower — than the socially optimal one.     

带有辅助信息的ROC曲线两种估计的比较

在医学研究中,常常使用受试者操作特性曲线(ROC)曲线来研究两样本的比较问题。Lloyd构造了ROC曲线的核平滑估计,并给出了其渐近偏差以及渐近标准差。此外,当还可以获悉某一处理组上的辅助信息时,Zhou,Zhou & Ma利用经验似然的方法构造了ROC曲线的核平滑经验似然估计。本文利用"亏量"这个概念比较了带有辅助信息的情况下,对核平滑经验似然估计与完全经验似然估计进行了比较。并给出了核平滑经验似然估计优于完全经验似然估计的结论,并且随着样本容量的增大,该亏量也是无限增大的。     

Richards模型参数估计及其模型应用

在非线性模型中,Richards模型是一个含有四参数的增长曲线模型,该模型对数据的拟合有较强的适应性,应用较为广泛.但其参数的估计较为复杂,给出简便易行的三种方法,实例应用表明拟合效果很好.     

关于具有二次相关性收获率的捕食与被捕食系统极限环的存在性分析

讨论了一类两种群具有二次相关性收获率的捕食与被捕食系统,利用常微分定性方法和分支理论,得到了系统平衡点处的性态和极限环的存在性条件,并用Matlab软件对其进行数值模拟,推广了相关文献中两种群捕食模型定性分析的相应结论.     

平板折叠桌的设计模型

根据折叠桌的运动特征,选取折叠桌的四分之一为研究对象,建立任意角度下桌脚点的运动变化模型。考虑到产品稳固性、加工便利性和节约用材三方面对加工参数的影响,对折叠桌进行受力分析,得到多目标组合优化模型,用以确定出折叠桌的最优设计参数。针对用户提出的桌面形状要求,建立桌脚曲线的参数方程。作为模型推广,以椭圆状折叠桌为例,运用Matlab画出了桌脚边缘线在折叠过程中的动态变化示意图。同时,又深入研究Robert van Embricqs的滑动折叠桌,建立了新的桌脚曲线参数方程。最后,运用Matlab对多种形状折叠桌进行仿真,编写多目标优化算法,得出了最优加工参数,并进行了算法描述。

Sequences of harmonic maps in the 3‐sphere

We define two transforms of non‐conformal harmonic maps from a surface into the 3‐sphere. With these transforms one can construct, from one such harmonic map, a sequence of harmonic maps. We show that there is a correspondence between harmonic maps into the 3‐sphere, H‐surfaces in Euclidean 3‐space and almost complex surfaces in the nearly Kähler manifold . As a consequence we can construct sequences of H‐surfaces and almost complex surfaces.     

An anisotropic area-preserving flow for convex plane curves

This paper will deal with an anisotropic area-preserving flow which keeps the convexity of the evolving curve and the limiting curve converges to a homothety of a symmetric smooth strictly convex plane curve.
