Constructing C3 shape preserving interpolating space curves

We present a method for constructing shape-preserving C ³ interpolants in R ³. The resulting curve is obtained by adding a polynomial perturbation of high degree to a curve which is shape-preserving but not sufficiently smooth. The degree of the perturbed curve is selected in order to maintain the shape properties of the basic curve.     

A distributionally robust area under curve maximization model

Area under ROC curve (AUC) is a performance measure for classification models. We propose new distributionally robust AUC models (DR-AUC) that rely on the Kantorovich metric and approximate AUC with the hinge loss function, and derive convex reformulations using duality. The DR-AUC models outperform deterministic AUC and support vector machine models and have superior worst-case out-of-sample performance, thereby showing their robustness. The results are encouraging since the numerical experiments are conducted with small-size training sets conducive to low out-of-sample performance.     

A nonlinear diffusion system coupled via nonlinear boundary flux

In this paper, we deal with the global existence and nonexistence of solutions to a nonlinear diffusion system coupled via nonlinear boundary flux. By constructing various kinds of sub- and super-solutions and using the basic properties of M-matrix, we give the necessary and sufficient conditions for global existence of nonnegative solutions. The critical curve of Fujita type is conjectured with the aid of some new results, which extend the recent results of Wang et al. [Nonlinear Anal. 71 (2009) 2134-2140] and Li et al. [J. Math. Anal. Appl. 340 (2008) 876-883] to more general equations.

Prediction of Concrete Meso-Model Stress-Strain Curves Based on GoogLeNet北大核心CSCD

非均质复合材料的宏观力学性能往往取决于细观组分的分布方式和力学性能,但是建立明确的关系表达式极其困难。为了应对这一挑战,以混凝土为研究对象,提出了一种基于深度学习的策略,能够高效、准确地通过细观模型图像信息获取应力-应变曲线。首先,使用基于卷积神经网络（convolutional neural network,CNN）的GoogLeNet模型进行图像信息识别和提取,并针对应力-应变曲线的复杂性特点,进行了数据预处理操作,并且设计了相应的多任务损失函数。数据集中的细观模型图像采用基于Monte-Carlo的随机骨料模型生成,并且使用数值模拟试验获取对应细观模型的单轴压缩应力-应变曲线。最后,通过对神经网络的训练和测试评估了所提出方法的可行性。结果表明,GoogLeNet模型训练效率和预测精度均优于AlexNet和ResNet模型,具有良好的泛化能力和鲁棒性。     

平面三次Pythagorean-Hodograph Hyperbolic曲线

本文基于Pythagorean-hodograph (PH)曲线和代数双曲线的良好几何特性,构造了Pythagorean-Hodograph Hyperbolic (PH-H)曲线,并给出了PH-H曲线的定义以及相应性质.同时,分别利用Hyperbolic基函数和Algebraic Hyperbolic (AH) B\''ezier基函数,得到了平面三次AH B\''ezier曲线为PH曲线的两个不同的充要条件.此外,三次PH-H曲线也被用于求解具有确定解的$G^1$ Hermite插值问题.文中给出了具体实例来说明我们的方法.     

Two-point AG codes from the Beelen-Montanucci maximal curve

In this paper we investigate two-point algebraic-geometry codes (AG codes) coming from the Beelen-Montanucci (BM) maximal curve. We study properties of certain two-point Weierstrass semigroups of the curve and use them for determining a lower bound on the minimum distance of such codes. AG codes with better parameters with respect to comparable two-point codes from the Garcia-Güneri-Stichtenoth (GGS) curve are discovered.
