We propose a new general definition of Volterra operators. Several types of evolutionary operators, including Volterra ones in the sense of A.N. Tikhonov, satisfy this definition. For equations with generalized Volterra operators we introduce the notions of local, global, and maximally extended solutions. For solutions to nonlinear equations we formulate the existence, uniqueness, and extendability conditions. The theorems proved in this paper imply both known and new results on the solvability of concrete equations. We adduce an example of the application of obtained results to the study of the Cauchy problem for functional differential equations. 相似文献

We consider an attainability problem in a complete metric space on values of an objective operator h. We assume that the latter admits a uniform approximation by mappings which are tier with respect to a given measurable space with an algebra of sets. Let asymptotic-type constraints be defined as a nonempty family of sets in this measurable space. We treat ultrafilters of the measurable space as generalized elements; we equip this space of ultrafilters with a topology of a zero-dimensional compact (the Stone representation space). On this base we construct a correct extension of the initial problem, realizing the set of attraction in the form of a continuous image of the compact of feasible generalized elements. Generalizing the objective operator, we use the limit with respect to ultrafilters of the measurable space. Using Barnes-Wall lattices and 1-cocycles on finite groups of monomial matrices, we give a procedure to construct tricosine spherical codes. This was inspired by a 14-dimensional code which Ballinger, Cohn, Giansiracusa and Morris discovered in studies of the universally optimal property. Their code has 64 vectors and cosines . We construct the Optimism Code, a 4-cosine spherical code with 256 unit vectors in 16-dimensions. The cosines are . Its automorphism group has shape 21+8⋅GL(4,2). The Optimism Code contains a subcode related to the BCGM code. We prove that every cyclic cubic extension E of the field of rational numbers contains algebraic numbers which are Mahler measures but not the Mahler measures of algebraic
numbers lying in E. This extends the result of Schinzel who proved the same statement for every real quadratic field E. A corresponding conjecture is made for an arbitrary non-totally complex field E and some numerical examples are given. The theorem proved in this paper gives a congruence for the traces of powers of an algebraic integer for the case in which the exponent of the power is a prime power. The theorem implies a congruence in Gauss’ form for the traces of the sums of powers of algebraic integers, generalizing many familiar versions of Fermat’s little theorem.
