Projected gradient methods for linearly constrained problems 总被引:23,自引:0,他引:23
The aim of this paper is to study the convergence properties of the gradient projection method and to apply these results
to algorithms for linearly constrained problems. The main convergence result is obtained by defining a projected gradient,
and proving that the gradient projection method forces the sequence of projected gradients to zero. A consequence of this
result is that if the gradient projection method converges to a nondegenerate point of a linearly constrained problem, then
the active and binding constraints are identified in a finite number of iterations. As an application of our theory, we develop
quadratic programming algorithms that iteratively explore a subspace defined by the active constraints. These algorithms are
able to drop and add many constraints from the active set, and can either compute an accurate minimizer by a direct method,
or an approximate minimizer by an iterative method of the conjugate gradient type. Thus, these algorithms are attractive for
large scale problems. We show that it is possible to develop a finite terminating quadratic programming algorithm without
non-degeneracy assumptions.

Quantum key distribution (QKD) is a promising application to establish unconditional secure communications by quantum mechanics. However, its widespread application still faces a great challenge, that is, the fundamental linear key-rate constraint called Pirandola-Laurenza-Ottaviani-Banchi (PLOB) bound. Recently, twin-field QKD (TF-QKD) was proposed (Lucamarini et al., 2018 [4]), it overcomes the constraint mentioned above. However, the original TF-QKD is based on the phase-encoding strategy, which requires active alignment. In this paper, we improve the original TF-QKD with the photon orbital angular momentum (OAM), and propose a novel reference frame independent protocol to overcome the reference frame dependence. No more alignment procedure is needed, and the intrinsic misalignment errors are eliminated by utilizing the rotation-invariance of OAM photons. We obtain the exact bound states of the generalized of Hulthén potential with negative energy levels using an analytic approach.
In order to obtain bound states, we use the associated Jacobi differential equation. Using the supersymmetry approach to quantum
mechanics, we show that these bound states, via four pairs of first order differential operators, represent four types of
ladder equations. Two types of these supersymmetric structures suggest derivation of algebric solutions for the bound states
using two different approaches.

This research study deals with the numerical solutions of linear and nonlinear time-fractional subdiffusion equations of distributed order. The main aim of our approach is based on the hybrid of block-pulse functions and shifted Legendre polynomials. We produce a novel and exact operational vector for the fractional Riemann–Liouville integral and use it via the Gauss–Legendre quadrature formula and collocation method. Consequently, we reduce the proposed equations to systems of equations. The convergence and error bounds for the new method are investigated. Six problems are tested to confirm the accuracy of the proposed approach. Comparisons between the obtained numerical results and other existing methods are provided. Measurements were made of T1 of bound water (T1b) and bound water fraction () for gelatin solutions and human tissues (sera, brain tumor, cerebral white matter). Bound water fraction in each sample was measured by means of thermal analysis (differential scanning calorimetry: DSC). T1 values were measured by FONAR QED 80-. T1b values were calculated by an equation derived from the fast-exchange two-state model. In the study of gelatin solutions, the relationship between T1 and water content differed depending on the sort of solutions. This was considered to be due to differences in T1b values. In each biological tissue the values of T1b and had different distributions. These results indicate that values of T1b and for biological tissues may be altered in correspondence to the changes in pathophysiological states in those tissues. 相似文献

Based on the Green's function method, we investigate the interplay between Majorana zero mode (MZM) and Andreev bound states (ABSs) in a quantum dot molecule side coupled to a topological superconducting nanowire with a pair of MZMs forming a Josephson junction. Since the strong electron–hole asymmetry induced by the nanowire with a topologically non-trivial phase, the MZM suppress the ABSs. The suppression induced by the MZM is robust against the Coulomb repulsion. The interplay between the MZM and the ABSs in Josephson junction presents a feasible experimental means for distinguish between the presence of MZM and ABSs. 相似文献
