A theory is presented for the frequency dependence of the power spectrum of photon current fluctuations originating from a
disordered medium. Both the cases of an absorbing medium (“grey body”) and of an amplifying medium (“random laser”) are considered
in a waveguide geometry. The semiclassical approach (based on a Boltzmann-Langevin equation) is shown to be in complete agreement
with a fully quantum mechanical theory, provided that the effects of wave localization can be neglected. The width of the
peak in the power spectrum around zero frequency is much smaller than the inverse coherence time, characteristic for black-body
radiation. Simple expressions for the shape of this peak are obtained, in the absorbing case, for waveguide lengths large
compared to the absorption length, and, in the amplifying case, close to the laser threshold.

We present a new solution of the asymmetric two-matrix model in the large-N limit which only involves a saddle point analysis. The model can be interpreted as Ising in the presence of a magnetic field, on random dynamical lattices with the topology of the sphere (resp. the disk) for closed (resp. open) surfaces; we elaborate on the resulting phase diagram. The method can be equally well applied to a more general (Q+1)-matrix model which represents the dilute Potts model on random dynamical lattices. This paper reports on the results of calculations using
a Monte Carlo code (MCNP5) to study the properties of photons,
electrons and photoneutrons obtained in the converted target and
their transportations in x-ray radiography. A comparison between
measurements and calculations for bremsstrahlung and
photoneutrons is presented. The radiographic rule and the effect of
the collimator on the image are studied with the experimental model.
The results provide exact parameters for the optimal design of

Feldspar thermoluminescence fading phenomena were investigated here by using newly-constructed thermoluminescence spectrometer
on the basis of charge-coupled detector, and thereafter the discussion and explanation on feldspar TL fading mechanism were
presented. The experimental results show that the fading rate of feldspar TL depends on both wavelength and stimulated temperature,
and normally the feldspar TL in every region of wavelength and temperature shows different traits, namely the low temperature
TL (170°–190°) fading at the rate of logarithmic function and furthermore the TL of different wavelengths fading at approximately
the same rate on the condition of 160° preheating. While the medium and high temperature TLs (290°–400°) do not show much
thermal fading, their fading rate at room temperature invariably correlates well with their wavelength, namely the longer
TL wavelength, the slower TL fading rate. The thermal instability of traps and the quantum-mechanical tunneling effects can
explain the above fading phenomena respectively. It is recognized that feldspar TL fading depends on its wavelength, and furthermore
new aspects of the solid thermoluminescence process can be displayed by the combination of three-dimensional TL spectral analysis
and thermal fading or anomalous fading of TL for feldspar.

We have studied the geometric phase and the sub-Poissonian photon distribution of a generalized N two-level atoms Dicke model in the thermo-dynamical limit and the off-resonant coupling case. It is found that the geometric phase in the ground state is relative to the atom number, the coupling strength between the atom and the light field, the frequency of the electromagnetic wave and the energy difference between two levels of the atom. The photons may exhibit the sub-Poissonian distribution in the ground state. 相似文献

By making use of the theoretical framework presented by Bostroem(K.J.Bostroem,LANL quant-ph/0009052),we generalize the standard quantum information theory of block messages with fixed block length to the variable one.We show that the states belonging to a sufficiently large hilbert space are the highly distinguishable states.We also consider the collection states (product states of more than one qubit state) and seek a “pretty good measurement” (PGM) with measurement vectors to improve the mutual information.The average mutual information over random block-message ensembles with variable block length n is discussed in detail. 相似文献

Dynamical linked cluster expansions are linked cluster expansions with hopping parameter terms endowed with their own dynamics.
We discuss physical applications to systems with annealed and quenched disorder. Examples are the bond-diluted Ising model
and the Sherrington-Kirkpatrick spin glass. We derive the rules and identify the full set of graphs that contribute to the
series in the quenched case. This way it becomes possible to avoid the vague extrapolation from positive integer n to n = 0, that usually goes along with an application of the replica trick.
