Although both ultraviolet (UV) radiation and ultrasound (US) treatment have their capabilities in microbial inactivation, applying any one method alone may require a high dose for complete inactivation, which may affect the sensory and nutritional properties of pineapple juice. Hence, this study was intended to analyse and optimise the effect of combined US and UV treatments on microbial inactivation without affecting the selected quality parameters of pineapple juice. US treatment (33 kHz) was done at three different time intervals, viz. 10 min, 20 min and 30 min., after which, juice samples were subjected to UV treatment for 10 min at three UV dosage levels, viz. 1 J/cm2, 1.3 J/cm2, and 1.6 J/cm2. The samples were evaluated for total colour difference, pH, total soluble solids (TSS), titrable acidity (TA), and ascorbic acid content; total bacterial count and total yeast count; and the standardization of process parameters was done using Response Surface Methodology and Artificial Neural Network. The results showed that the individual, as well as combined treatments, did not significantly impact the physicochemical properties while retaining the quality characteristics. It was observed that combined treatment resulted in 5 log cycle reduction in bacterial and yeast populations while the individual treatment failed. From the optimization studies, it was found that combined US and UV treatments with 22.95 min and1.577 J/cm2 ensured a microbiologically safe product while retaining organoleptic quality close to that of fresh juice.  相似文献

Deep learning has been widely applied and brought breakthroughs in speech recognition, computer vision, and many other domains. Deep neural network architectures and computational issues have been well studied in machine learning. But there lacks a theoretical foundation for understanding the approximation or generalization ability of deep learning methods generated by the network architectures such as deep convolutional neural networks. Here we show that a deep convolutional neural network (CNN) is universal, meaning that it can be used to approximate any continuous function to an arbitrary accuracy when the depth of the neural network is large enough. This answers an open question in learning theory. Our quantitative estimate, given tightly in terms of the number of free parameters to be computed, verifies the efficiency of deep CNNs in dealing with large dimensional data. Our study also demonstrates the role of convolutions in deep CNNs.  相似文献

The heterogeneity nature of networks is the most eminent characteristic in 5G vehicular cognitive radio networks across complex radio environments. Since multiple communicating radios may be in motion at the same time in a vehicle. So, group mobility is the most prominent characteristic that requires to be a deep investigation. Therefore, different communication radios that are moving on a train/bus needed to select the networks simultaneously. Without considering the group mobility feature, there is a possibility that the same network may be selected by each moving node and cause congestion in a particular network. To overcome this problem, a novel network selection technique considering the group mobility feature is proposed to improve the throughput of the network. In this work, a 5G vehicular cognitive radio network scenario is also realized using USRP-2954 and LabVIEW communications system design suite testbed. The performance metrics like transmission delay, packet loss rate, reject rate and, channel utilization for vehicular nodes, are gained to analyze the proposed technique in vehicular cognitive radio networks environment. The proposed technique demonstrates a remarkable improvement in channel utilization for vehicular nodes and outperformed conventional schemes.  相似文献

This paper proposes and estimates a globally flexible functional form for the cost function, which we call Neural Cost Function (NCF). The proposed specification imposes a priori and satisfies globally all the properties that economic theory dictates. The functional form can be estimated easily using Markov Chain Monte Carlo (MCMC) techniques or standard iterative SURE. We use a large panel of U.S. banks to illustrate our approach. The results are consistent with previous knowledge about the sector and in accordance with mathematical production theory.  相似文献

Despite the outstanding properties of hyperbranched polyglycerols such as biocompatibility and multifunctionality, enough attention has not been paid to the synthesis of their functional copolymers. This problem has limited the structural diversity of hyperbranched polyglycerols and hampers further developments and their practical usage. In this work, butyrolactone segments were incorporated into the backbone of polyglycerols by one‐pot ring‐opening copolymerization of a mixture of glycidol and γ‐butyrolactone in the presence of tin(II) 2‐ethylhexanoate. Poly(glycerol‐oligoγ‐butyrolactone)s were then crosslinked by 2,5‐thiophenediylbisboronic acid to obtain polymeric nanonetworks with 140 nm average size. Afterwards, the gold electrode was modified by the polymeric nano‐networks, and it was used for the determination of glucose, glycated hemoglobin, and Escherichia coli in phosphate buffer solution (pH = 9.0) through cyclic voltammetry and impedance spectroscopic. Taking advantage of the straightforward synthesis, cheap precursors and multifunctionality of poly(glycerol‐oligoγ‐butyrolactone)s, they could be used for real‐time sensing of a wide range of biosystems. © 2019 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. This paper considers the problem of learning multinomial distributions from a sample of independent observations. The Bayesian approach usually assumes a prior Dirichlet distribution about the probabilities of the different possible values. However, there is no consensus on the parameters of this Dirichlet distribution. Here, it will be shown that this is not a simple problem, providing examples in which different selection criteria are reasonable. To solve it the Imprecise Dirichlet Model (IDM) was introduced. But this model has important drawbacks, as the problems associated to learning from indirect observations. As an alternative approach, the Imprecise Sample Size Dirichlet Model (ISSDM) is introduced and its properties are studied. The prior distribution over the parameters of a multinomial distribution is the basis to learn Bayesian networks using Bayesian scores. Here, we will show that the ISSDM can be used to learn imprecise Bayesian networks, also called credal networks when all the distributions share a common graphical structure. Some experiments are reported on the use of the ISSDM to learn the structure of a graphical model and to build supervised classifiers.  相似文献

Understanding the effect of postherpetic neuralgia (PHN) pain on brain activity is important for clinical strategies. This is the first study, to our knowledge, to relate PHN pain to small-world properties of brain functional networks. Functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) was used to construct functional brain networks of the subjects during the resting state. Sixteen patients with PHN pain and 16 (8 males, 8 females for both groups) age-matched controls were studied. The PHN patients exhibited decreased local efficiency along with non-significant changes of global efficiency in comparison with the healthy controls. Moreover, regional nodal efficiency was found to be significantly affected by PHN pain in the areas related to sense (postcentral gyrus, inferior parietal gyrus and thalamus), memory/affective processes (parahippocampal gyrus) and emotional activities (putamen). Significant correlation (p < 0.05) was also found between the nodal efficiency of putamen and pain intensity in PHN patients. Our results suggest that PHN modulates the local efficiency, and the small-world properties of brain networks may have potentials to objectively evaluate pain information in clinic.  相似文献

通过对基于分簇的数据融合隐私保护算法CPDA的分析,提出了一种基于簇内分层随机密钥管理方案.它使用二叉树的逻辑结构,对簇内节点进行重新组织后,传输各自的切片数据,再通过建立密钥树的逻辑层次结构.对整个组密钥进行管理最终实现了在数据融合的同时,保护数据安全通过实验分析,相比于分簇隐私数据融合协议CPDA在具有更好的隐私保护性的同时,更低的数据通信量以及良好的可扩展性.  相似文献
