A design and a geometry for the group Fi 22

The Fischer group Fi ₂₂ acts as a rank 3 group of automorphisms of a symmetric 2-(14080,1444,148) design. This design does not have a doubly transitive automorphism group, since there is a partial linear space with lines of size 4 defined combinatorially from the design and preserved by its automorphism group. We investigate this geometry and determine the structure of various subspaces of it.      

On strongly continuous one-parameter groups of automorphisms of multilinear functionals

We prove a structure theorem for strongly continuous one-parameter groups formed by surjective isometries of the space of bounded N-linear functionals over complex Hilbert spaces. As a consequence, the strongly continuous one-parameter automorphism groups of Cartan factors of type I are classified.     

Rosenberg’s reconstruction theorem

Alexander L. Rosenberg has constructed a spectrum for abelian categories which is able to reconstruct a quasi-separated scheme from its category of quasi-coherent sheaves. In this note we present a detailed proof of this result which is due to Ofer Gabber. Moreover, we determine the automorphism class group of the category of quasi-coherent sheaves.     

Analytic Conjugation, Global Attractor, and the Jacobian

It is proved that the dilation \(\lambda f\) of an analytic map \(f\) on \({\bf C}^n$\) with \(f(0)=0,f'(0)=I, |\lambda|>1\) has an analytic conjugation to its linear part \(\lambda x\) if and only if \(f\) is an analytic automorphism on \({\bf C}^n\) and \(x=0\) is a global attractor for the inverse \((\lambda f)^{-1}\). This result is used to show that the dilation of the Jacobian polynomial of [12] is analyticly conjugate to its linear part.     

Designs from the Group PSL2(q), q Even

Let q be a power of 2 greater than 2 and consider the group G = PSL₂(q). We choose the maximal subgroups of G isomorphic to the dihedral groups D_2(q+1) and D_2(q-1) and present the primitive action of G on the right cosets of these two subgroups. We will find the orbits of the point stabilizer in each case and in the case of D_2(q-1) we will prove there is an orbit Δ of the point stabilizer G_ω, such that Δ ≠ {ω } and whose orbiting under G gives a 1-design with the automorphism group isomorphic to the symmetric group
