Weak convergence of almost orbits of asymptotically nonexpansive commutative semigroups

We give three equivalent conditions for weak convergence of almost orbits of an asymptotically nonexpansive commutative semigroup acting on a nonempty bounded closed convex subset of a uniformly convex Banach space whose dual has the Kadec property.     

Strong convergence theorems for countable families of asymptotically relatively nonexpansive mappings with applications

The purpose of this paper is by using the hybrid iterative method to prove some strong convergence theorems for approximating a common element of the set of solutions to a system of generalized mixed equilibrium problems and the set of common fixed points for two countable families of closed and asymptotically relatively nonexpansive mappings in Banach space. The results presented in the paper improve and extend the corresponding results of Su et al. [Y.F. Su, H.K. Xu, X. Banach空间中渐近非扩张非自身映射带误差Noor迭代的收敛性定理

本文主要对三个渐近非扩张非自身映射引入了一种新的投影型Noor迭代程序,并在一致凸Banach空间中给出了该Noor迭代序列的弱与强收敛性定理.我们的主要结果推广和改进了该领域许多近期的结果.     

关于求解带线性互补约束的数学规划问题正则方法的一个注记

本文主要研究在某些较弱条件下求解带线性互补约束的数学规划问题(MPLCC)正则方法的收敛性.若衡约束规划线性独立约束规范条件(MPEC-LICQ)在由正则方法产生的点列的聚点处成立,且迭代点列满足二阶必要条件,同时,若比在文[7]中渐近弱非退化条件Ⅰ更弱的渐近弱非退化条件Ⅱ在聚点处也成立,那么所有这些聚点都是B-稳定点.此外,在弱MPEC-LICQ,二阶必要条件及渐近弱退化条件Ⅱ下,我们仍能证明通过正则方法所得的聚点都是B-稳定点.     

Strong convergence theorems for strictly asymptotically pseudocontractive mappings in Hilbert spaces

The purpose of this paper is by using CSQ method to study the strong convergence problem of iterative sequences for a pair of strictly asymptotically pseudocontractive mappings to approximate a common fixed point in a Hilbert space. Under suitable conditions some strong convergence theorems are proved. The results presented in the paper are new which extend and improve some recent results of Acedo and Xu [Iterative methods for strict pseudo-contractions in Hilbert spaces. A sufficient condition for asymptotically well behaved property of convex polynomials

In this paper, we employ an asymptotic assumption to show that the maximum of finitely many convex polynomials is an asymptotically well behaved function. We also give two examples to illustrate our main result. As an application, we reproduce some known results appeared recently in the literature.     

Testing for the Absence of Random Effects in a Two-way Nested Design with Mixed Effects Model: A Nonparametric Approach

Two-way nested design with mixed effects model arises in many practical situations. In the classical analysis of variance set-up, a test for the absence of the random effects is obtained under the assumption that the random effects and the errors are normally distributed. The present paper avoids this assumption and provides an asymptotically distribution-free test procedure for the above problem. The asymptotic null distribution of the test statistic is obtained. Actual implementation of the test is straight forward given the prior information on quantiles of the intra-block differences of observations. In the absence of such information, working test procedures are proposed. The performances of these tests are compared with the classical analysis of variance test through simulations. The tests are then illustrated by some real data sets.     

Three-step iterations for nonlinear accretive operator equations

In this paper, we suggest and analyze a three-step iterative scheme for solving nonlinear strongly accretive operator equation Tx=f without continuous condition in a uniformly smooth Banach space. Our results include the Ishikawa, Mann and Noor iterations as special cases. The results presented in this paper improve and extend almost all the current results in the more general setting.     

Convergence theorems for implicit iteration process for a finite family of continuous pseudocontractive mappings

In this paper, a necessary and sufficient conditions for the strong convergence to a common fixed point of a finite family of continuous pseudocontractive mappings are proved in an arbitrary real Banach space using an implicit iteration scheme recently introduced by Xu and Ori [H.K. Xu, R.G. Ori, An implicit iteration process for nonexpansive mappings, Numer. Fuct. Anal. Optim. 22 (2001) 767-773] in condition αn∈(0,1], and also strong and weak convergence theorem of a finite family of strictly pseudocontractive mappings of Browder-Petryshyn type is obtained. The results presented extend and improve the corresponding results of M.O. Osilike [M.O. Osilike, Implicit iteration process for common fixed points of a finite family of strictly pseudocontractive maps, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 294 (2004) 73-81].
