Two-boson Realizations of the Polynomial Angular Momentum Algebra and Some Applications

In this paper two kinds of two-boson realizations of the polynomial angular momentum algebra are obtained by generalizing the well known Jordan–Schwinger realizations of the SU(2) and SU(1,1) algebras. Especially, for the Higgs algebra, an unitary realization and two nonunitary realizations, together with the properties of their respective acting spaces are discussed in detail. Furthermore, similarity transformations, which connect the nonunitary realizations with the unitary ones, are gained by solving the corresponding unitarization equations. As applications, the dynamical symmetry of the Kepler system in a two-dimensional curved space is studied and phase operators of the Higgs algebra are constructed.     

Bosonized Wakimoto Construction in the Principal Gradation

It is well known that the bosonized version of the Wakimoto construction allows the explicit realization of any affine algebra , with arbitrary level k in the homogeneous gradation, in terms of dim free bosonic fields.However, its extension in the principal gradation has been achieved only in the simplest case k=1. In this Letter we show, in the case of the simplest affine algebra ,that the bosonized Wakimoto realization can be extended to the principal gradation only when k is equal to the critical level, i.e., –2.In this case, this construction can be achieved in terms ofarbitrary number (larger than 1) of free bosonic fields.

In this paper we introduce a primal-dual affine scaling method. The method uses a search-direction obtained by minimizing the duality gap over a linearly transformed conic section. This direction neither coincides with known primal-dual affine scaling directions (Jansen et al., 1993; Monteiro et al., 1990), nor does it fit in the generic primal-dual method (Kojima et al., 1989). The new method requires main iterations. It is shown that the iterates follow the primal-dual central path in a neighbourhood larger than the conventional neighbourhood. The proximity to the primal-dual central path is measured by trigonometric functions.     

On curvature homogeneous and locally homogeneous affine connections

This paper deals with curvature homogeneous affine connections on -dimensional manifolds. We give a sufficient condition for a projectively flat curvature homogeneous connection to be locally homogeneous and show how to construct curvature homogeneous connections that are not locally homogeneous.

     

The Illumination Body of Almost Polygonal Bodies

For a convex body K in R ² with illumination body K we consider an expression connected with the affine surface area of K, namely the volume differences vol₂(K ) - vol₂(K). We investigate what kind of functions can occur as such volume differences and obtain a result similar to the one obtained in the case of floating bodies.     

The homology of the space of affine flags containing a nilpotent element

We show that the homology of the space of Iwahori subalgebras containing a nilpotent element of a split semisimple Lie algebra over is isomorphic to the homology of the entire affine flag manifold.

In this paper, we mainly investigate the realization of 3-Lie algebras from a family of Lie algebras. We prove the realization theorem, offer a concrete example realizing all type of 4-dimensional 3-Lie algebras, and also give some properties about semi-simple n-Lie algebras.

We obtain new characterizations of smoothness, saturation results, and existence theorems of derivatives for weighted polynomials associated with Erd s weights on the real line. Our methods rely heavily on realization functionals.
