On Appell sequences of polynomials of Bernoulli and Euler type

A construction of new sequences of generalized Bernoulli polynomials of first and second kind is proposed. These sequences share with the classical Bernoulli polynomials many algebraic and number theoretical properties. A class of Euler-type polynomials is also presented.     

On the Space bvp（F） of Sequences of p-bounded Variation of Fuzzy Numbers

Recently, the space bvp of real or complex numbers consisting of all sequences whose differences are in the space lp has been studied by Basar, Altay [Ukrainian Math. J. 55（1）（2003）, 136-147], where 1 ≤ p ≤ ∞. The main purpose of the present paper is to introduce the space bvp（F） of sequences of p-bounded variation of fuzzy numbers. Moreover, it is proved that the space bvp（F） includes the space lp（F） and also shown that the spaces bvp（F） and lp（F） axe isomorphic for 1 ≤ p ≤∞. Furthermore, some inclusion relations have been given.

Incongruent restricted disjoint covering systems

We define an incongruent restricted disjoint covering system on [1,n] as a set of congruence classes such that each integer in the interval [1,n] belongs to exactly one class, and each class contains at least two members of the interval. In this paper we report some computational and structural results and present some open problems concerning such systems.     

Trigonometric wavelets for Hermite interpolation

The aim of this paper is to investigate a multiresolution analysis of nested subspaces of trigonometric polynomials. The pair of scaling functions which span the sample spaces are fundamental functions for Hermite interpolation on a dyadic partition of nodes on the interval . Two wavelet functions that generate the corresponding orthogonal complementary subspaces are constructed so as to possess the same fundamental interpolatory properties as the scaling functions. Together with the corresponding dual functions, these interpolatory properties of the scaling functions and wavelets are used to formulate the specific decomposition and reconstruction sequences. Consequently, this trigonometric multiresolution analysis allows a completely explicit algorithmic treatment.

In this paper, by using central limit theorem of ND sequences and probability inequality, the precise asymptotics for partial sums of nonstationary ND sequences is investigated, and the same results with it under that of NA sequences are obtained.     

On two--block--factor sequences and one--dependence

The distributions of two--block--factors arising from i.i.d. sequences are observed to coincide with the distributions of the superdiagonals of jointly exchangeable and dissociated arrays . An inequality for superdiagonal probabilities of the arrays is presented. It provides, together with the observation, a simple proof of the fact that a special one--dependent Markov sequence of Aaronson, Gilat and Keane (1992) is not a two--block factor.

     

Spectral Convergence for Degenerating Sequences of Three Dimensional Hyperbolic Manifolds

For degenerating sequences of three dimensional hyperbolic manifolds of finite volume, we prove convergence of their eigenfunctions, heat kernel and spectral measure.
