Photoluminescence (PL) measurements were carried out to investigate the interband transition and the activation energy in CdTe/ZnTe double quantum dots (QDs). While the excitonic peaks corresponding to the interband transition from the ground electronic subband to the ground heavy-hole (E1-HH1) in the CdTe/ZnTe double QDs shifted to higher energy with decreasing ZnTe spacer thickness from 30 to 10 nm due to transformation from CdTe QDs to CdxZn1−xTe QDs, the peaks of the (E1-HH1) transitions shifted to lower energy with decreasing spacer thickness from 10 to 3 nm due to the tunneling effects of the electrons between CdTe double QDs. The decrease in the activation energy with decreasing ZnTe spacer thickness might originate from an increase in the number of defects in the ZnTe spacer. The present results can help improve the understanding of the interband transition and the activation energy in CdTe/ZnTe double QDs.  相似文献

Public debates driven by incomplete scientific data where nobody can claim absolute certainty, due to the current state of scientific knowledge, are studied. The cases of evolution theory, global warming and H1N1 pandemic influenza are investigated. The first two are of controversial impact while the third is more neutral and resolved. To adopt a cautious balanced attitude based on clear but inconclusive data appears to be a lose-out strategy. In contrast overstating arguments with incorrect claims which cannot be scientifically refuted appears to be necessary but not sufficient to eventually win a public debate. The underlying key mechanisms of these puzzling and unfortunate conclusions are identified using the Galam sequential probabilistic model of opinion dynamics (Galam, 2002 [4], Galam, 2005 [18], Galam and Jacobs, 2007 [19]). It reveals that the existence of inflexible agents and their respective proportions are the instrumental parameters to determine the faith of incomplete scientific data in public debates. Acting on one’s own inflexible proportion modifies the topology of the flow diagram, which in turn can make irrelevant initial supports. On the contrary focusing on open-minded agents may be useless given some topologies. When the evidence is not as strong as claimed, the inflexibles rather than the data are found to drive the opinion of the population. The results shed a new but disturbing light on designing adequate strategies to win a public debate.  相似文献

The gas‐phase elimination kinetics of 2,2‐diethoxyethyl amine and 2,2‐diethoxy‐N,N‐diethylethanamine (320–380 °C; 40–150 Torr) in a seasoned reaction vessel are homogeneous, unimolecular and obey a first‐order rate law. These elimination processes involve two parallel reactions. The first gives ethanol and the corresponding 2‐ethoxyethenamine. The latter compound further decomposes to ethylene, CO and the corresponding amine. The second parallel reaction produce ethane and the corresponding ethyl ester of an α‐amino acid. The following Arrhenius expressions are given as: For 2,2‐diethoxyethyl amine For 2,2‐diethoxy‐N,N‐diethylethanamine Comparative kinetic and thermodynamic parameters of the overall, the parallel and the consecutive reactions lead to consider two types of mechanisms in terms of a concerted polar cyclic transition state structures. The spin distribution of the evaporation residue cross section of nuclei 194Pb, 200Pb, 206Pb, and 200Os are calculated via a Langevin equation coupled with a statistical decay model. It is shown that with increasing the neutron-to-proton ratio (N/Z) of the system, the sensitivity of the spin distribution to the nuclear dissipation is decreased significantly. Moreover, for 200Os this spin distribution is no longer sensitive to the nuclear dissipation. These results suggest that to obtain a more accurate pre-saddle viscosity coefficient through the measurement of the evaporation residue spin distribution, it is best to yield those compound systems with low N/Z.  相似文献

Superconducting proximity effect is studied in superconductor/normal metal trilayers. The dependences of the superconducting transition temperature TcTc versus Nb thickness in Cu/Nb/Cu systems and versus Cu thickness in Nb/Cu/Nb ones are described by different values of the microscopical parameters. We attribute this difference to the influence of the external surfaces of the Nb/Cu/Nb hybrids on the superconducting properties of the system.  相似文献

The influence of the width of a lattice-matched Al0.82In0.18N/GaN single quantum well (SQW) on the absorption coefficients and wavelength of the intersubband transition (ISBT) has been investigated by solving the Schrödinger and Poisson equations self-consistently. The wavelength of 1—2 ISBT increases with L, the thickness of the single quantum well, ranging from 2.88 μm to 3.59 μm. The absorption coefficients of 1—2 ISBT increase with L at first and then decrease with L, with a maximum when L is equal to 2.6 nm. The wavelength of 1—3 ISBT decreases with L at first and then increases with L, with a minimum when L is equal to 4 nm, ranging from approximately 2.03 μm to near 2.11 μm. The absorption coefficients of 1—3 ISBT decrease with L. The results indicate that mid-infrared can be realized by the Al0.82In0.18N/GaN SQW. In addition, the wavelength and absorption coefficients of ISBT can be adjusted by changing the width of the SQW.  相似文献

A p-ZnO:N/n-GaN:Si structure heterojunction light-emitting diode (LED) is fabricated on c-plane sapphire by full metal organic chemical vapor deposition (MOCVD) technique. The p-type layer with hole concentration of 8.94×1016 cm−3 is composed of nitrogen-doped ZnO using NH3 as the doping source with subsequent annealing in N2O plasma ambient. Silicon-doped GaN film with electron concentration of 1.15×1018 cm−3 is used as the n-type layer. Desirable rectifying behavior is observed from the current-voltage (I-V) curve of the device. The forward turn on voltage is about 4 V and the reverse breakdown voltage is more than 7 V. A distinct ultraviolet (UV) electroluminescence (EL) with a dominant emission peak centered at 390 nm is detected at room temperature from the heterojunction structure under forward bias conditions. The origins of the EL emissions are discussed in comparison with the photoluminescence (PL) spectra.  相似文献

利用荧光光谱法对5-邻氯乙酰氧基苯基-10,15,20-三苯基卟啉与脱氧核糖核酸(DNA)在不同条件下的荧光光谱特征进行了研究。实验表明,在低离子强度下,小牛胸腺DNA导致卟啉的荧光强度猝灭。在pH4.4的B-R缓冲介质中,荧光猝灭程度与小牛胸腺DNA的浓度呈线性关系,线性方程为ΔF=29.8C(μg/mL)-1.17,线性范围为0—10μg/mL,检出限为1.22μg/mL,相关系数为0.9949。对提取的植物基因组总DNA进行测试,由线性方程求得样品中的DNA含量。  相似文献

We fabricate inverted organic/inorganic hybrid solar cells based on vertically oriented ZnO nanorods and polymer MEH-PPV. The morphology of ZnO nanorods and ZnO nanorods/MEH-PPV hybrid structure is depicted by using scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), and atomic force microscope (AFM), respectively. The presence of m=0 lines of the Mössbauer spectra of small Fe3O4 particles coated with an organic surfactant in an applied field of 7 T at 5 K shows a non-collinear magnetic structure in the surface layer of these particles.
