The deformation of a liquid capsule enclosed by a thin shell in a simple shear flow is studied numerically using an implicit immersed boundary method. We present a thin-shell model for computing the forces acting on the shell middle surface during the deformation within the framework of the Kirchhoff–Love theory of thin shells. This thin-shell model takes full account of finite-deformation kinematics which allows thickness stretching as well as large deflections and bending strains. For hyperelastic materials, the plane-stress assumption is used to compute the hydrostatic pressure and the incompressibility condition yields the thickness strain component and the corresponding change in the thickness. The stresses developing over the cross-section of the shell are integrated over the thickness to yield the stress and moment resultants which are then used to compute the forces acting on the shell middle surface. The immersed boundary method is employed for calculating the hydrodynamics and fluid–structure interaction effects. The location of the thin shell is updated implicitly using the Newton–Krylov method. The present numerical technique has been validated by several examples including an inflation of a spherical shell and deformations of spherical and oblate spheroidal capsules in the shear flow. 相似文献

JCC76 is a novel nimesulide analog that selectively inhibits the human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2) overexpressing breast cancer cell proliferation and tumor progression. To support further pharmacological and toxicological studies of JCC76, a novel and rapid method using liquid chromatography and electrospray ionization tandem mass spectrometry (LC‐ESI‐MS/MS) has been developed and validated for the quantification of the compound in rat plasma. A C18 column was used for chromatographic separation, and the mobile phase was aqueous ammonium formate (pH 3.7; 5 mm )–methanol (1:9, v/v) with an isocratic elution. With a simple liquid–liquid extraction procedure using the mixture of methyl tert‐butyl ether–hexane (1:2, v/v), the mean extraction efficiency of JCC76 in rat plasma was determined as 89.5–97.3% and no obvious matrix effect was observed. This method demonstrated a linear calibration range from 0.3 to 100 ng/mL for JCC76 in rat plasma and a small volume of sample consumption. The intra‐ and inter‐assay accuracy and precision were within ±10%. The pharmacokinetics of JCC76 was also profiled using this validated method in rats. The graphical unitary group approach has been applied in an efficient implementation of a general multireference configuration interaction (MRCI) method for use with small active molecular orbital spaces in a semiempirical framework. Gradients can be computed analytically for molecular orbitals from a closed-shell or a half-electron open-shell Hartree-Fock calculation. CPU times for single point energy and gradient calculations are reported. The dynamical behaviors of vacuum states for one-dimensional compressible Navier-Stokes equations with density-dependent viscosity coefficient are considered. It is first shown that a unique strong solution to the free boundary value problem exists globally in time, the free boundary expands outwards at an algebraic rate in time, and the density is strictly positive in any finite time but decays pointwise to zero time-asymptotically. Then, it is proved that there exists a unique global weak solution to the initial boundary value problem when the initial data contains discontinuously a piece of continuous vacuum and is regular away from the vacuum. The solution is piecewise regular and contains a piece of continuous vacuum before the time T∗>0, which is compressed at an algebraic rate and vanishes at the time T∗, meanwhile the weak solution becomes either a strong solution or a piecewise strong one and tends to the equilibrium state exponentially. 相似文献

In this paper, we consider some asymptotic models for internal waves in the small amplitude/small amplitude regime, which were derived recently by Bona, Lannes and Saut. We first prove that the Boussinesq/Full dispersion systems and the Boussinesq/Boussinesq systems can be derived from the Full dispersion/Full dispersion systems. Then using a contraction-mapping argument and the energy method, we will prove that the derived systems that are linearly well-posed are in fact locally nonlinearly well-posed in suitable Sobolev classes. The local symmetries and conservation laws are calculated for the equations of shallow water with an axisymmetric profile of bottom under the assumption that the corresponding generating functions may depend only on all variables and their derivatives up to the second order. It is shown that if the bottom has the form of a paraboloid of revolution, then there are many symmetries and conservation laws generalizing those for the case of plane bottom. 相似文献
