In this paper we study the structure of negative limit sets of maps on the unit interval. We prove that every α-limit set is an ω-limit set, while the converse is not true in general. Surprisingly, it may happen that the space of all α-limit sets of interval maps is not closed in the Hausdorff metric (and thus some ω-limit sets are never obtained as α-limit sets). In this paper, we present an enhanced version of the minimax algorithm of Chen, Ni, and Zhou that offers the additional guarantee that the solution found is a fix-point of a projector on a cone. Positivity, negativity, and monotonicity can be expressed in this way. The numerical solution of the non-linear integro-differential equations based on the meshless method
This article investigates the numerical solution of the nonlinear integro-differential equations. The numerical scheme developed in the current paper is based on the moving least square method. The moving least square methodology is an effective technique for the approximation of an unknown function by using a set of disordered data. It consists of a local weighted least square fitting, valid on a small neighborhood of a point and only based on the information provided by its n closet points. Hence the method is a meshless method and does not need any background mesh or cell structures. The error analysis of the proposed method is provided. The validity and efficiency of the new method are demonstrated through several tests. 相似文献

This article is devoted to characterize all possible effective behaviors of composite materials by means of periodic homogenization. This is known as a G-closure problem. Under convexity and p -growth conditions (p>1), it is proved that all such possible effective energy densities obtained by a Γ-convergence analysis, can be locally recovered by the pointwise limit of a sequence of periodic homogenized energy densities with prescribed volume fractions. A weaker locality result is also provided without any kind of convexity assumption and the zero level set of effective energy densities is characterized in terms of Young measures. A similar result is given for cell integrands which enables to propose new counter-examples to the validity of the cell formula in the nonconvex case and to the continuity of the determinant with respect to the two-scale convergence. 相似文献
