This paper introduces the new interactive Java sketching software KamiWaAi, recently developed at the University of Fukui.
Its graphical user interface enables the user without any knowledge of both mathematics or computer science, to do full three
dimensional “drawings” on the screen. The resulting constructions can be reshaped interactively by dragging its points over
the screen. The programming approach is new. KamiWaAi implements geometric objects like points, lines, circles, spheres, etc.
directly as software objects (Java classes) of the same name. These software objects are geometric entities mathematically
defined and manipulated in a conformal geometric algebra, combining the five dimensions of origin, three space and infinity.
Simple geometric products in this algebra represent geometric unions, intersections, arbitrary rotations and translations,
projections, distance, etc. To ease the coordinate free and matrix free implementation of this fundamental geometric product,
a new algebraic three level approach is presented. Finally details about the Java classes of the new GeometricAlgebra software

Consider a special stable partition problem in which the player's preferences over sets to which she could belong are identical
with her preferences over the most attractive member of a set and in case of indifference the set of smaller cardinality is
preferred. If the preferences of all players over other (individual) players are strict, a strongly stable and a stable partition
always exists. However, if ties are present, we show that both the existence problems are NP-complete. These results are very
similar to what is known for the stable roommates problem.

It is generally in a firm’s interest for its supply chain partners to invest in innovations. To the extent that these innovations either reduce the partners’ variable costs or stimulate demand for the end product, they will tend to lead to higher levels of output for all of the firms in the chain. However, in response to the innovations of its partners, a firm may have an incentive to opportunistically increase its own prices. The possibility of such opportunistic behavior creates a hold-up problem that leads supply chain partners to underinvest in innovation. Clearly, this hold-up problem could be eliminated by a pre-commitment to price. However, by making an advance commitment to price, a firm sacrifices an important means of responding to demand uncertainty. In this paper we examine the trade-off that is faced when a firm’s channel partner has opportunities to invest in either cost reduction or quality improvement, i.e. demand enhancement. Should it commit to a price in order to encourage innovation, or should it remain flexible in order to respond to demand uncertainty. The conformal class of a Hermitian metric g on a compact almost complex manifold (M2m, J) consists entirely of metrics that are Hermitian with respect to J. For each one of these metrics, we may define a J-twisted
version of the Ricci curvature, the J-Ricci curvature, and its corresponding trace, the J-scalar curvature sJ. We ask if the conformal class of g carries a metric with constant sJ, an almost Hermitian version of the usual Yamabe problem posed for the scalar curvature s. We answer our question in the
affirmative. In fact, we show that (2m−1)sJ−s=2(2m−1)W(ω, ω), where W is the Weyl tensor and ω is the fundamental form of g. Using techniques developed for the solution
of the problem for s, we construct an almost Hermitian Yamabe functional and its corresponding conformal invariant. This invariant
is bounded from above by a constant that only depends on the dimension of M, and when it is strictly less than the universal
bound, the problem has a solution that minimizes the almost complex Yamabe functional. By the relation above, we see that
when W (ω, ω) is negative at least one point, or identically zero, our problem has a solution that minimizes the almost Hermitian
Yamabe functional, and the universal bound is reached only in the case of the standard 6-sphere
equipped with a suitable almost complex structure. When W(ω, ω) is non-negative and not identically zero, we prove that the
conformal invariant is strictly less than the universal bound, thus solving the problem for this type of manifolds as well.

We compare and contrast various length vs Laplace spectra of compact flat Riemannian manifolds. As a major consequence we
produce the first examples of pairs of closed manifolds that are isospectral on p-forms for some p ≠ 0, but have different
weak length spectrum. For instance, we give a pair of 4-dimensional manifolds that are isospectral on p-forms for p = 1, 3and we exhibit a length of a closed geodesic that occurs in one manifold but cannot occur in the other. We also exhibit examples
of this kind having different injectivity radius and different first eigenvalue of the Laplace spectrum on functions. These
results follow from a method that uses integral roots of the Krawtchouk polynomials.
We prove a Poisson summation formula relating the p-eigenvalue spectrum with the lengths of closed geodesics. As a consequence
we show that the Laplace spectrum on functions determines the lengths of closed geodesics and, by an example, that it does
not determine the complex lengths. Furthermore we show that orientability is an audible property for closed flat manifolds.
We give a variety of examples, for instance, a pair of manifolds isospectral on functions (resp. Sunada isospectral) with
different multiplicities of length of closed geodesies and a pair with the same multiplicities of complex lengths of closed
geodesies and not isospectral on p-forms for any p, or else isospectral on p-forms for only one value of p ≠ 0. 相似文献

We present here an improved version of the method introduced by the first author to derive
pointwise gradient estimates for the solutions of one-dimensional parabolic problems. After considering
a general qualinear equation in divergence form we apply the method to the case of a nonlinear
diffusion-convection equation. The conclusions are stated first for classical solutions and then for
generalized and mild solutions. In the case of unbounded initial datum we obtain several regularizing
effects for t > 0. Some unilateral pointwise gradient
estimates are also obtained. The case of
the Dirichlet problem is also considered. Finally, we collect, in the last section, several comments
showing the connections among these estimates and the study of the free boundaries
