Weighted essentially non-oscillatory (WENO) schemes have been mainly used for solving hyperbolic partial differential equations (PDEs). Such schemes are capable of high order approximation in smooth regions and non-oscillatory sharp resolution of discontinuities. The base of the WENO schemes is a non-oscillatory WENO approximation procedure, which is not necessarily related to PDEs. The typical WENO procedures are WENO interpolation and WENO reconstruction. The WENO algorithm has gained much popularity but the basic idea of approximation did not change much over the years. In this paper, we first briefly review the idea of WENO interpolation and propose a modification of the basic algorithm. New approximation should improve basic characteristics of the approximation and provide a more flexible framework for future applications. New WENO procedure involves a binary tree weighted construction that is based on key ideas of WENO algorithm and we refer to it as the binary weighted essentially non-oscillatory (BWENO) approximation. New algorithm comes in a rational and a polynomial version. Furthermore, we describe the WENO reconstruction procedure, which is usually involved in the numerical schemes for hyperbolic PDEs, and propose the new reconstruction procedure based on the described BWENO interpolation. In this paper we study the domain of the generator of stable processes, stable-like processes and more general pseudo- and integro-differential operators which naturally arise both in analysis and as infinitesimal generators of Lévy- and Lévy-type (Feller) processes. In particular we obtain conditions on the symbol of the operator ensuring that certain (variable order) Hölder and Hölder–Zygmund spaces are in the domain. We use tools from probability theory to investigate the small-time asymptotics of the generalized moments of a Lévy or Lévy-type process , for functions f which are not necessarily bounded or differentiable. The pointwise limit exists for fixed if f satisfies a Hölder condition at x. Moreover, we give sufficient conditions which ensure that the limit exists uniformly in the space of continuous functions vanishing at infinity. As an application we prove that the domain of the generator of contains certain Hölder spaces of variable order. Our results apply, in particular, to stable-like processes, relativistic stable-like processes, solutions of Lévy-driven SDEs and Lévy processes. 相似文献

Summary The numerical integration of a wide class of Hamiltonian partial differential equations by standard symplectic schemes is discussed, with a consistent, Hamiltonian approach.
