We consider equilibrium problems in the framework of the formulation proposed by Blum and Oettli, which includes variational inequalities, Nash equilibria in noncooperative games, and vector optimization problems, for instance, as particular cases. We show that such problems are particular instances of convex feasibility problems with infinitely many convex sets, but with additional structure, so that projection algorithms for convex feasibility can be modified in order to improve their convergence properties, mainly achieving global convergence without either compactness or coercivity assumptions. We present a sequential projections algorithm with an approximately most violated constraint control strategy, and two variants where exact orthogonal projections are replaced by approximate ones, using separating hyperplanes generated by subgradients. In this paper we investigate contingent derivatives of set-valued maps and their lower and upper semidifferentiability properties. We provide also some calculus rules for these derivatives in infinite dimensional spaces. Carotenoids are an essential component of cashew and can be used in pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, natural pigment, food additives, among other applications. The present work focuses on optimizing and comparing conventional and ultrasound-assisted extraction methods. Every optimization step took place with a 1:1 (w:w) mixture of yellow and red cashew apples lyophilized and ground in a cryogenic mill. A Simplex-centroid design was applied for both methods, and the solvents acetone, methanol, ethanol, and petroleum ether were evaluated. After choosing the extractor solvent, a central composite design was applied to optimize the sample mass (59–201 mg) and extraction time (6–34 min). The optimum conditions for the extractor solvent were 38% acetone, 30% ethanol, and 32% petroleum ether for CE and a mixture of 44% acetone and 56% methanol for UAE. The best experimental conditions for UAE were a sonication time of 19 min and a sample mass of 153 mg, while the CE was 23 min and 136 mg. Comparing red and yellow cashews, red cashews showed a higher carotenoid content in both methodologies. The UAE methodology was ca. 21% faster, presented a more straightforward composition of extracting solution, showed an average yield of superior carotenoid content in all samples compared to CE. Therefore, UAE has demonstrated a simple, efficient, fast, low-cost adjustment methodology and a reliable alternative for other applications involving these bioactive compounds in the studied or similar matrix. 相似文献

Summary. In shape optimization problems, each computation of
the cost function by the finite element method
leads to an expensive analysis. The use of the second order derivative
can help to reduce the number of analyses. Fujii ([4], [10])
was the first to study this problem. J. Simon [19] gave the second order
derivative for the Navier-Stokes
problem, and the authors describe in [8], [11], a method which gives an
intrinsic expression of the first and second order derivatives on the
boundary
of the involved domain.
In this paper we study higher order derivatives. But one can ask
the following questions:
-- are they expensive to calculate?
-- are they complicated to use?
-- are they imprecise?
-- are they useless?
\medskip\noindent
At first sight, the answer seems to be positive, but classical results of
V. Strassen [20] and J. Morgenstern [13] tell us that the higher order
derivatives are not expensive to calculate, and can be computed
automatically. The purpose of this paper is to give an answer to the third
question by proving that the higher order derivatives of a function can be
computed with the same precision as the function itself.
We prove also that the derivatives so computed are
equal to the derivatives of the discrete problem (see Diagram 1). We
call the discrete
problem the finite dimensional problem processed by the computer. This result
allows the use of automatic differentiation ([5], [6]), which works only on
discrete problems.
Furthermore, the computations of Taylor's expansions
which are proposed at the end of this paper, could be a partial answer to
the last question.

On the ground of four axioms we define thekinematics of perfectly elastic bodies and in particular the notion ofweak deformations of a perfectly elastic body. Weak deformations turn out to agree withweak diffeomorphisms introduced in [10], a class of rectifiable currents which enjoys good closure and compactness properties. Sufficient conditions are given for the Q-superlinear convergence of the iterates produced by primal-dual interior-point methods
for linear complementarity problems. It is shown that those conditions are satisfied by several well known interior-point
methods. In particular it is shown that the iteration sequences produced by the simplified predictor–corrector method of Gonzaga
and Tapia, the simplified largest step method of Gonzaga and Bonnans, the LPF+ algorithm of Wright, the higher order methods
of Wright and Zhang, Potra and Sheng, and Stoer, Wechs and Mizuno are Q-superlinearly convergent.
