Central limit theorem and weak law of large numbers with rates for martingales in Banach spaces

This paper is concerned with large-$\text{O}$ error estimates concerning convergence in distribution as well as norm convergence for Banach space-valued martingale difference sequences. Indeed, two general limit theorems equipped with rates of convergence for such difference sequences are established. Applications of these lead to the central limit theorem and the weak law of large numbers with rates for Banach space-valued martingales.     

Localization Operators and Exponential Weights for Modulation Spaces

We study localization operators within the framework of ultradistributions. More precisely, given a symbol a and two windows φ₁, φ₂, we investigate the multilinear mapping from to the localization operator Results are formulated in terms of modulation spaces with weights which may have exponential growth. We give sufficient and necessary conditions for a to be bounded or to belong to a Schatten class. As an application, we study symbols defined by ultra-distributions with compact support, that give trace class localization operators.     

Lyapunov modular functions

We prove a Lyapunov type theorem for modular functions on complemented lattices.     

A transference theorem for hermite expansions

A transference theorem for multipliers of Hermite expansions is proved. The result allows to transfer weightedL ²(ℝ ⁿ ) estimates from lower to higher dimensions. Research of the author supported by grant BFM2003-06335-603-03 of the D.G.I..     

Osculating spaces to secant varieties

We generalize the classical Terracini’s Lemma to higher order osculating spaces to secant varieties. As an application, we address with the so-called Horace method the case of thed-Veronese embedding of the projective 3-space. This research is part of the T.A.S.C.A. project of I.N.d.A.M., supported by P.A.T. (Trento) and M.I.U.R. (Italy).     

Multiplication operators on Hilbert spaces of analytic functions

On Weyl structures

We characterize the relation between the geometrical properties of Weyl manifolds and the algebraic properties of the Weyl algebras (§1) and the deformation algebras associated to two conformal Weyl connections (§2). The last section is devoted to the study of the Weyl-Lyra algebras associated to a conformal Weyl connection and a conformal semisymmetric connection.
