Preparation, characterization and thermolysis of metal nitrate complexes with 4,4’-bipyridine

Two bis(bipyridine) polymeric metal nitrate complexes with 4,4’-bipyridine of simple formula like [M(bipy)₂](NO₃)2⋅xH₂O (where M=Co, Ni and Cu; x=4, 2 and 0, respectively) have been prepared and characterized. Their thermal decomposition has been undertaken using simultaneous TG-DTG-DTA and DSC in nitrogen atmosphere and non-isothermal TG in air atmosphere. Isothermal TG has been performed at decomposition temperature range of the complexes to evaluate the kinetics of decomposition by applying model-fitting as well as isoconversional method. Possible mechanistic pathways have also been proposed for the thermolysis. Ignition delay measurements have been carried out to investigate the response of these complexes under the condition of rapid heating.     

Synthesis and characterization of Mn-, La-Mn- and La-Ca-Mn-citrates as precursors for LaMnO<Subscript>3</Subscript> and La<Subscript>1−x</Subscript>Ca<Subscript>x</Subscript>MnO<Subscript>3</Subscript>

Mn-, LaMn- and LaCaMn-citrates were synthesized at 60–120°C in ethylene glycol medium using chlorides or nitrates as metal sources. Their composition, IR spectra and thermal decomposition were studied. Equimolar La/Mn ratio has been established in the complex, prepared from chloride solution with the same initial composition of the metals. In the isolated three-metallic complex the molar ratio of the metals deviates from the composition in the initial solution. The final products of the heating of Mn- and mixed-metal LaMn-citrates at 1000°C are phase-homogeneous Mn₃O₄ (hausmannite) and LaMnO₃ respectively. Parasitic phase(s) are observed in La_xCa_1−xMn_yO₃, produced from LaCaMn-citrate.     

Selective oxidation of octadecan-1-ol to octadecanoic acid over Co3O4/SiO2 catalysts

Factors (reaction temperature, reaction time, flow rate of oxygen, amount of catalyst, etc.) influencing the catalytic properties of Co₃O₄/SiO₂catalyst in the oxidation octadecan-1-ol to octadecanoic acid were investigated. The catalysts were characterized by means of XRD, FT-IR and N₂-adsorption. The experimental results indicate that under the optimal condition the selectivity to octadecanoic acid reached 97.5 % over 5 % Co₃O₄/SiO₂ catalyst.This revised version was published online in December 2005 with corrections to the Cover Date.     

2,2,4-Trimethylhydroquinolines in the Bischler-Melau Reaction

8-R-1-Aryl-4,4,6-trimethyl-4H-pyrrolo[3,2,1-ij]quinolines have been synthesized by the Bischler-Melau reaction in the series of 6-R-2,2,4-trimethylhydroquinolines.     

Reaction of vinyloxyalkylamines with mercaptoacetic acid

N-[2(3)-Hydroxyalkylj-4-thiazolidinones have been synthesized by the reaction of 2(3)-vinyloxyalkylamines with mercaptoacetic acid in 24–69 % yield. Polyfluorinated hydrazones in organic synthesis

A preparative one-step method for the synthesis of 1,1,1,5,5,5-hexafluoro-4-trifluoromethylpentane-2,3-dione dihydrazone from perfluoro-4-methylpent-2-ene and hydrazine hydrate has been developed. Oxidation of this dihydrazone with bromine in water gives 3-diazo-1,1,1,5,5,5-hexafluoro-4-trifluoromethylpentane-2-one. The same product is obtained from 3-hydrazono-1,1,1,5,5,5-hexafluoro-4-trifluoromethylpentane-2-one under similar conditions.Translated fromIzvestiya Akademii Nauk. Synthesis and some properties of planar 4-diphenylphosphino-1,3,2-dioxaborinanes

Fused 1,3,2-dioxaborinanes, derivatives of 4-diphenylphosphino- and 4-diphenylphosphoryl-4H-1, 3-dioxa-2-boraphenanthrenes, and their complexes with amines have been synthesized. According to X-ray diffraction data, the complex of 2-phenyl-4-diphenylphosphoryl-4H-1, 3-dioxa-2-boraphenanthrene with butylamine exists as a dimer due to the formation of intermolecular hydrogen bonds.Translated fromIzvestiya Akademii Nauk. 2,6—二氯—4—溴偶氮胂光度法测定微量铀（Ⅵ）

本报道用了２，６－二氯－４－溴偶氮胂作显色剂测定微量铀（Ⅵ）的光度法。在Ｈ２ＳＯ４介质中，铀（Ⅵ与）２，６－二氯－４－溴偶氮胂形成１：２络合物，其λｍａｘ＝６４０ｎｍ；表观摩尔吸光系数为１．１×１０＾５Ｌ．ｍｏｌ＾－＾１．ｃｍ＾－＾１；铀的浓度在０．０－２２．０μｇ／ｍｌ内符合比耳定律。方法具有灵敏度高，选择性好，操作方便等特点并已用于废水及矿样中微量铀（Ⅵ）的测定。     

Reaction of 1,2-diarylhydrazines with acetic anhydride catalyzed by 4-(dimethylamino)pyridine

Summary A new method for the synthesis of 1,2-diaryl-1,2-dihydro-5-methyl-3H-pyrazol-3-ones3 and 4-acetyl-1,2-diaryl-1,2-dihydro-5-methyl-3H-pyrazol-3-ones5 is presented. The reaction of 4,4-disubstituted 1,2-diarylhydrazines1 with acetic anhydride in the presence of an equimolar amount of 4-(dimethylamino)pyridine leads to mixtures of the corresponding acetyl derivatives2 and3. Under the same conditions, 2,2-disubstituted 1,2-diarylhydrazines yield mixtures of3 and5.

4-(Dimethylamino)pyridin-katalysierte Reaktion von 1,2-Diarylhydrazinen mit Essigsäureanhydrid

Zusammenfassung Eine neue Methode zur Synthese von 1,2-Diaryl-1,2-dihydro-5-methyl-3H-pyrazol-3-onen3 und 4-Acetyl-1,2-diaryl-1,2-dihydro-5-methyl-3H-pyrazol-3-onen5 wird beschrieben. Die Reaktion von 4,4-disubstituierten 1,2-Diaryl-hydrazinen1 mit Essigsäureanhydrid führt in Gegenwart eines Äquivalentes 4-(Dimethylamino)pyridin zu Gemischen der entsprechenden Acetylderivate2 und3. Unter den gleichen Bedingungen werden aus 2,2-disubstituierten 1,2-Diarylhydrazinen Gemische aus3 und5 erhalten.

     

1-(2,6-二氯-4-硝基苯)-3-(4-硝基苯)-三氮烯与铜的显色反应研究及其应用

研究了新试剂1-(2,6-二氯-4-硝基苯)-3-(4-硝基苯)-三氮烯(DCNPNPT)与铜(Ⅱ)显色反应。在表面活性剂Tween-80存在下,pH 9.0～10.0范围内,铜(Ⅱ)与DCNPNPT形成1:4黄色配合物,其最大吸收波长为460nm,用双峰双波长法测定,表观摩尔吸光系数为1.I×10~5L·mol~(-1)·cm~(-1)。铜(Ⅱ)含量在0～240μg·L~(-1)范围内符合比耳定律。拟定方法用于铜矿和环境水标样中铜的测定,结果满意。
