In this paper we ascertain the blow-up rate of the large solutions of a class of sublinear elliptic boundary value problems with a weight function in front of the nonlinearity that vanishes on the boundary of the underlying domain, Ω, at different rates according to the point of the boundary, . All previous results in the literature assumed the decay rate of the underlying weight function to be the same at any point of ∂Ω. This hypothesis substantially simplified the mathematical analysis of the problem, as it allowed constructing global sub and supersolutions in an open neighborhood of ∂Ω. Obtaining general results requires localizing at each particular point of the boundary, making particularly involved the mathematical analysis of the problem. 相似文献

Multilinear interpolation is a powerful tool used in obtaining strong-type boundedness for a variety of operators assuming only a finite set of restricted weak-type estimates. A typical situation occurs when one knows that a multilinear operator satisfies a weak Lq estimate for a single index q (which may be less than one) and that all the adjoints of the multilinear operator are of similar nature, and thus they also satisfy the same weak Lq estimate. Under this assumption, in this note we give a general multilinear interpolation theorem which allows one to obtain strong-type boundedness for the operator (and all of its adjoints) for a large set of exponents. The key point in the applications we discuss is that the interpolation theorem can handle the case q?1. When q>1, weak Lq has a predual, and such strong-type boundedness can be easily obtained by duality and multilinear interpolation (cf. In this paper, we consider Girsanov transforms of pure jump type for discontinuous Markov processes. We show that, under some quite natural conditions, the Green functions of the Girsanov transformed process are comparable to those of the original process. As an application of the general results, the drift transform of symmetric stable processes is studied in detail. In particular, we show that the relativistic α-stable process in a bounded C1,1-smooth open set D can be obtained from symmetric α-stable process in D through a combination of a pure jump Girsanov transform and a Feynman-Kac transform. Summary. We consider the spline collocation method for a class of parabolic pseudodifferential operators. We show optimal order convergence
results in a large scale of anisotropic Sobolev spaces. The results cover the classical boundary integral equations for the
heat equation in the general case where the spatial domain has a smooth boundary in the plane. Our proof is based on a localization
technique for which we use our recent results proved for parabolic pseudodifferential operators. For the localization we need
